  • what kind of turntables anyone know??!?! Also what is the last song he playss?!?!?!?!?

  • @Airek2007 Technics 1200's turntables. The last track is "Misdemeanor" by Foster Sylvers released in 1973.

  • what kind of turntables anyone know??!?!

  • Rhett killin it

  • ahhh I'm starting to understand what being saved by "REAL HIP-HOP" means. I'm love this,it feels like I've found something that I've been waiting to hear for a long time now!

  • haha the youngsters certainly missed out on something special, i try to laugh it off but i know deep down there's nothing funny about it - another musical genre, evolved and gone. just like classic rock to disco - dilla premo peat rock, you are hiphop.

What I don't get is the 20+ year olds bangin lil wayne and gunit, what the hell were they listening to as youngsters? Limp Bizkit? alternative rock? tykes get a pass from me but the guys my age blow my mind

  • Real breaks played in the real way! Go Premo!!

  • @thaprecepta wtf?!...if premo turns some tables, in any! club you!!!! 'd be shot the first ten seconds for even thinkin that phony shit of yours...he would even if deaf, dumb & blind and without hands beeing ten times sicker, creating doper beats than all actual "producers" together kid...stick back to wayne tard

  • This is what i call the real art of D.Jing.Premier is a one of a kind D.J and no one can come close to him,Beats, sample clearence and most of all originallity.

  • if premo was shot because of these tracks, the shooter has absolutely no taste and probably listens to lil wayne and thinks that is good music

  • @Jessekrs123 are you serious?

  • @thaprecepta- idc where premo lays down tracks, just saying he would be shot is disrespectful, premo is god and you should look up to him, not put him down

  • @Jessekrs123 premo is a god for real hip hop. but this shit in a club? not even a gay guy could dance to this

  • Apparently someone doesn't appreciate funk and the fact that it was the birth genre of hip hop, jungle, and downtempo. And apparently you don't understand that Premo isn't just about the hip hop he used to pioneer back in the day. He, along with many other people, like this stuff a hell of a lot more than the crap you normally have to put up with at the club. Go enjoy your Lady Gaga, I'll take this any day over that.

  • Hahahahahaha oh wow, you are incredibly ignorant. You still don't understand that at a HIP HOP event, the man considered to be the single greatest hip hop producer of our time is GOING TO PLAY the music that INFLUENCED his work. Which is FUNK. You see, if you actually attended an event such as this, you would know that. But it's ok. You probably didn't read my last comment correctly because you were too busy listening to boy bands and pop music, so this should clear things up.

  • Hahaha hmmm let's see, IF Premo played this in a club he'd be shot? Oh wait, he's IS playing it in a club in THE VIDEO. And last time I checked, he was the headliner of the Spectre Ent night. And he wasn't shot. In fact, the place was packed because everyone wanted to hear him play that music. Guess you were wrong. It's not surprising, because you obviously have never been to a real hip hop show before. You must be an idiot teenager. You are incredibly stupid, I will no longer reply to you

  • spot on, kids these days have no idea about the roots of music, they just buy into whatever shit the music executives ram down their throats.

  • love what you do, the weight of the milk crate should not even enter your mind

  • you can give me some head but keep the breakfast in be ID RATHER SPEND MY MORNING DIGGING THRU SOME RECORDS INSTEAD like they say the times are ah changing u really wanna drag along 4 or even more milk crates of records its 2009 but do your thing thats why theres no handbook on it do your thing

  • I am so fucking lost! please GIVE ME AN ADVISE! I love turntablism, I start doing it in 1986 people... and I trully love vinyl. But nobody has turntables in festivals, clubs or raves... everything looks like laptop or ipod dj to me. My destiny is to dissappear? I know how to use digital, but in your opinion... do you really think I have to switch to SERATO? or keep surviving with CDs and mp3? did you see the new pionner 2000? give me ur opinion, and thank you, xcuse my english. Best from Cancun

  • Hey man- time's are changing. i personally find serato to be the SHIZZLE DAMN DIZZLE- try it- when i got mine i told rane that it was better than drugs.

i started with vinyl when i saw serato had to have it...,. serato is vinyl, such excellent control and it doesnt prevent you from using your old stuff. it enables you.

  • I am so tired of hearing all these discussions about what format is the best. It's quite simple - if you prefer using vinyl(which I do) - use vinyl! If Serato is your thing then use it. Don't worry about the format that everyone else is using - use what is most comfortable for you. Skills will always shine no matter what the equipment is....

  • I used to have my doubts about digital systems as it was "not real" and making things "too easy". Especially looking at Ritchie Hawtin or others that use Ableton or such for DJ-sets. Well, screw that, that's evolution. They were saying the same things about DJ's using battle-records instead of digging for the original samples, etc...

Let's be honest. The DJ set is about the music you put out there and not about how you do it. The Wax-thing... it's for our own pleasure, not the crowd's :o)

  • wich james brown song is he playin

  • Well, Funky Drummer for starters. Ring a bell?

  • a yeah of course, thanks

  • @dirtedutch cut out the lights on em'.

  • I llve in a fifth floor walk up n NYC and the worst part of DJing before Serato was carrying crates up the 5 flight of stairs at 5AM when I was half drunk. I have a lot of great music on vinyl so transporting it was a back breaker. The only draw back is that you can't get everything digital.

  • Like I've said on other comments that dis Serato: Most of you who diss it have never used it, know what it was developed for, or can't even afford it! Most Music today is being put out only Digitaly. Serato makes it possible to play those songs by utilizing Wax- How else do you propose real DJ's continue to utilize wax for their performance? Now if fake Digi DJs only use the keyboard options that's on them- Real DJs don't- But it's a great option to have if your needle breaks. Thx Serato!!!

  • serato keeps the art of using "vinyl" alive. cdj's put a real threat to vinyl.

  • that is true, serato is vinyl

  • Thanks!!!!!!

  • does anybody now what is the name of the song at 5:30???

  • Bob James "Nautilus"

  • You Know There used to be a time in DJ history where folks would have to find the name of breaks on their own- It's called Diggiin in the Crates and it was one of the things that made DJ's like Premo so great and kept every Tom and Dick off the tables- But I guess that rule doesn't apply to Ipod Diji Djs.

  • look im all into the classic shit, and i got vinyls, but look man, the possibilities are endless with serato. u gotta think out of the box man. look at crossfaders and shit yo, that didn't just come out of nowhere. people invent shit that improves on old stuff. its time to move on.

  • yeah now i know ha thx :p

i need to get me some turntables 4 reals

  • how was preem able to mix diff james brown tracks with the same two records? :/
