I was in Dallas during that odd storm. It was cold and crazy. Parts of North Texas saw there only snow that year in April. That is crazy, saying how mild that winter was for there to be snow in April. Just recently, here on the Texas Oklahoma Border, we had a foot of snow in March. 6 inches one night, and 6 inches a couple of days later. It was odd to see in March, saying how little snow we saw that winter. We had more ice during that winter than anything else.
Everytime I watch these videos of the April TX snowfall I am amazed. Even though I only saw some sleet mixed with rain in Houston that day, just the fact that any form of winter precipitation reached areas in SE and E Texas is incredible for April! We will likely never see something like this again in our lifetimes...
