Ok guys, get your facts straight. It can be caused by genetics or by a mutation, not everyone with Marfan is tall and we dont have "holes" in our lungs and heart. The spinal cord cannot be "melted away." Checkups, while a good idea, do not "fix" Marfan Syndrome. Most of us take beta blockers that lower the heart rate and reduce stress on the aorta, the fragile part of the heart. Lastly, our life expectancy has increased to normal with new advancements. @choirbunnyfoofoo i am very sorry if you got offended by the research in this presentation but you must understand this was for a 9th grade science project that i did single handedly in a very short amount of time, and also this was all improvised so i did forget alot of facts, but did cover most of them in a brochure that i handed out. Well, My foot has been hurting, thought nothing much of it. Turns out it was I had a super flat foot. I think went to genologist. He said I have marfian's syndrome. Next week when I should be having fun on spring break chilling at the beach with my friends. I get to have my foot broken, yes broken and then I get an arch on my foot. I think get a rod on my back for scholosis. I then will have heart problems, and have to quit playing football and basketball. My life is ruined.
