The point is to allow people to see if others are having a problem, also I was contacted within 4 hours by Ubisoft about this video commending me for describing the problem and allowing for a quick and easy fix for a problem. (users arnt the only ones with internet.... )

fucking network problem, You guys better fix this problem cuz i had it on a lot of games, red dead redemtion, can't get in, gta 4, can't get in.. black ops i can play with no problem except i can't play it with my friend, because my network is strict or some shit like that! why can't you make it work for everybody? 60 euro's is alot of money for a game, so we want it to be perfect.

@mabeklvista your NAT setting is key, make sure that it is open, not moderate or strict, see microsofts webpage on Nat settings it will give possible fixes.

Ok so what I did to fix it, and it worked. First go to the game and start the multiplayer while it's signing into the server sign out then go to the dash board and unplug your Ethernet/ wifi thing then plug back In and test connection. After that start the game at the loading screen log back in and try to get on the multiplayer it says signing into server again but this time it goes to the game! * it worked for me and I'm on an Ethernet connection*

I've actually called them a few times and they tell me it's my routers problem. I tell them I never have any other problems with any other game ever and they should really look into this problem because a lot of people have been having it. He told me "Look, out of millions of people only a few obviously are having issues so it's not something we are going to worry about." Great. Thanks for all your support.

Ok i found out that its Going to be about another week or so on until this prob is done. The only way i was able to play is that i got 6 friends and played a group ranked match or player match and its really kewl. So heres some advice: Instead of waiting for the server to come back on,get 1-6 friends and play ranked matchesd or player matches. Honestly its better then waiting for the server to come back on :P

If you already have an open NAT, the next thing I can suggest is going to your router and make sure you either have the necessary ports forwarded to the PS3 or you set the PS3 IP address on the DMZ, though I suggest using the ports. Look these things up, they're everywhere on YouTube.

@chubs968 Ok i had the same problem recently, I live between my dorm room and home, so often times the Xbox makes the trip with me. at home my network has a Open NAT setting and at school i get a moderate setting, now occasionally it could be you or your friends network setting, but it is probably related to that..... check the nat settings and tinker with the router to get things going... thats the best advice i can give you... UNPN settings or some have a NAT setting available...

@stevenh366 as mentioned earlier check that your nat setting is open, to do this there is an easy test, when setting up an internet connection at least on Xbox 360 PS3 might be similar but Xbox will give a notification that some content might not be available because of nat restrictions... if it doesn't go into Modern warfare 2 if you have a copy. go into find a match and your nat type will show up in the left side.

NAT type is the key. You have to get it from type 3 (moderate/strict) to 2 if using wireless

There are two main possibilities for fixing this. You can either open up ports for your PS3, or you may use the DMZ feature on your router. I prefer the ports because only one electronic device may be on the DMZ at one time.

For port forwarding, there are other YouTube videos explaining it. Same for DMZ.

However, the problem I had was slightly different. I could easily forward the ports or place the P

Hey Guys Ive got news For all of you,

Nat setting is the key, You Require an open Nat setting otherwise the matchmaking system is extraordinarily slow and or impossible in some cases.

On the up side for those with problems, take a look at your routers and check that UNPN is enabled and if you have the option on newer routers open the nat setting.

Ubisoft will be coming out with a patch for the game soon thank god

One solution I may have found. Haven't tried it out yet. Disable UPnP and change NAT type to 2. To change NAT, it's a bit complicated, but there are videos on here that give instructions

One bad thing is that when you search for a RANKED MATCH, sometimes they put you in the middle of a RANKED MATCH. What the crap is this? And sometimes you get disconnected. But this never happened to me. Perhaps you guys could try using wired network. That's better.

Dude what do you expect? EVERYONE has this problem thanks to the great hype of the multi. It's a basic server overload which ubisoft has to fix (I bet it will last a day or two)
