  • Or you could just sack him.

  • would the single leg take down defense be a takedown for the other guy? Since he is holding your pants? So if you dont finish the triangle he gets the two points for the take down.

  • @NinjaWarriorDude Nope, the guy who goes for the triangle and does not get it gets an advantage instead. He attempted a submission and missed it or the other guy defended it.

  • They never did this in the matrix

  • Now their training for the training? How about some practical real life moves not competition b.s.

  • he's gonna fight the black dude? phew...:-/

  • The spider guard escape works well, I've tried this, simple and effective.

  • You know... does anyone else feel absolutely retarded when someone shows you something like this and you're like, "fuck that's so simple - how the hell didn't I see that before?" Yeah, jitz has a way of making you feel eternally stupid sometimes.

  • @shamantics Using the word "jitz" should make you feel eternally stupid.

  • @DonStirFrye I was eternally stupid way before I started using labels like "Jitz," "Taekwon-dork" and "Kara-take-my-wallet."

  • Very nice love this clip

  • this is why I always hold one angle one behind knee when holding single leg

  • ya like lower belts can jump into a triangle that easy ..u cud have showed the bend ur knee hook ur opnts leg and push there head down as u slide ur leg out

  • @midgetgooch619 The triangle is a pretty basic move that I knew before I started bjj

  • @samb202 the triangle is not as easy as it looks..

  • @midgetgooch619 If sinking in a tight triangle isn't quick and second nature to you by yellow belt, rip the belt off, burn it, and find a new school.

  • @timmytankTK Yellow belt? I guess you don't train BJJ unless you're a child.

  • @laylalaylady lol

  • @laylalaylady You shouldn't be allowed to get a yellow belt if you cant do that. Triangle is basic and should be second nature. It was the first thing I had down, and is used a shit ton. If you can't fall right into it, then people are going to stack up and pass your guard every single time.

  • @timmytankTK In BJJ, there is no such thing as a yellow belt unless you're taking children classes. What exactly are you talking about?

  • who shows a flying triangle lol...Any good multi-faceted combatant with a background in wrestling will be too tucked into that leg and into your hip for your triangle...plus how do you lock it with your leg under him..even if you get it out to the side he'll push on the knee and barzagar

  • @buddhacuda

Evan Tanner hit this exact move on Justin Levens - it does work at high level. But, certainly wouldn't be my first go to move either.

  • in real time the enemy kicks frantically when on there back

  • is there a safe way to break ur fall if ur going for the jumping triangle in no gi?

  • @tapias0117 Grab their shirt, or shorts, yeah, give them a giant wedgie! But on a more serious note, if you grab their arm that will help.

  • @lighttekku ya i tried grabbing on to there shirt it works pretty good, if i grab there arm which arm would i grab?

  • @tapias0117 either one would work, but I would recommend trying to grab the arm that you aren't putting in the triangle.

  • @lighttekku alright thanks man

  • sick

  • cool stuff

  • cool except for spider guard was never demonstrated lmao....

  • two words: not ninjas

  • ponle subtitulo mala leche

  • $130 for unlimited classes for me in sydney. bjj, mma, thai box

  • Unlimited for how long? a month or year?

  • Been round the Block. Phil has knowledge

  • $120/month for gi/no-gi Jiu Jitsu, BJJ, Kickboxing, and MMA + unlimited use of their gym and ring. Includes all gradings... but why is everyone posting how much they pay for training?

  • watched this vid 30 mins before i trained and pulled off the spider guard pass on another blue belt with no drillin.. sweet technique

  • i pay 85 a mounth 4 no gi and gi and thats12 classes a week. and muay thuy on tuesday and thrusday

  • i pay $12 a year for my judo :D

  • omg, no way 85 a month wowie i think i might go to the same place as you weird

  • dude thank you man this really helps everybody puts me in this position and i cant get out of it

  • great job on this one

  • why not pull your dick out while your at it?

  • yes that too, but only after i have shot the guy. that way i can use his blood as lubricant.

  • I probably wouldn't do this at the beginning of a match. I'd be afraid of giving the other guy two points since he initiated the take down.

  • Keep an open mind about different angles of offense and defense. Don't say silly comments. Thank you for your generosity for showing moves.

  • Brasilian ,themselves are generous;

Some of the REP they have are GREEdy

    and sometimes incompetent!

  • Both are awesome and work well. As far as the single leg defense, you can also go to an omoplata from it.

  • I don't know about the single leg defense. It would work if the person doing it doesn't know how to properly hold a single leg. Most people that get me with a single leg lock it between their legs.

  • guy needs to know how to hold a single properly

  • awesome! :)

  • in my system of jiu jitsu, i have yet to learn spider guard, if it even exists. is it that easy to get caught in? and furthermore, is it that easy to be controlled by?

  • yeah if you got a gi on

  • Thanks for posting;BJJ instructors are

    VERRRY GENEROUS in sharing thecnics

for FREE,UNLIKE their counterpart in OTHER martial art.

  • that's not really true, I've seen plenty of instructors from many different styles who offer techniques for free. And for the record, in terms of monetary cost, BJJ has cost me more than any other style i've encountered. The average cost per month in my area is $150, while the cost of my judo instruction is only 50.

  • i take the gi class for only $75 a month, wherever you go, your instructor is swindling your money.

  • it's called living in california. hence the reason why i said "average cost per month in my area", not just my school only. reading comprehension is clearly not your friend.

  • for the single leg. from a defensive standpoint; try hold the opponent at the ankle. therefore he wont be able to swing his leg around to set-up the triangle.

  • I had 2 others counters for single leg.. but I really like that one because you immediately go straight for an attack. Thanks for posting.. !!

  • and why exactly would he let go of ur right leg when u jump?

  • Very cool move for a counter against the single leg!

  • Trust me do this. This move is money.

  • Thanx for the tip and simple instruction .

  • Cool. Thanks!

  • that's good to know, i hate getting caught in the spider guard

  • What a relief. Purple belts have been killing me with it and now I have some kind of logical response (white belt). Thanks much

  • lol

and I was owned by a senior white belt by this(hes a judo black belt. UNFAIR!!!!!!!!!!!)

  • seems pretty advanced for me lol

  • Very nice! Thanks for the technique. Well presented.

  • wow never thought of that, great!

  • nice!!
