  • hye man im playing this game on the new 360 and when it asks me to swap disks

when the game comes back the disk drive kicks in and sounds like an electric toothbrush

this stops when i install it to HDD but i may want to sell when im done have you noticed anything like that it happend on the 3rd disk too

  • I never installed, and I never get that much loading time. There's something wrong there.

  • Can you please delete this video already? These are NOT the actual loading times of a proper retail build!

If you want to see how fast loading is, watch the "Lost Odyssey loading from HD" video.

  • once u install it its like a normal ps2 jrpg game..

  • disc 4 is only the slow one other 3 were good loading times that why i installed disc 4 to hdd

  • it's much faster. I don't know how anyone can say otherwise. I've counted plenty of times because I was so bored, it was always 30+ seconds loading from the dvd. (benq drive) Installed to my 120gb hdd it's like half that.

  • The 'improved' version looks like the regular load times. I don't remember battles ever taking 35 sec to load. They were slow, but no more than 20 sec. Oh well, I won't be able to test this until I get a 120 GB HDD, the game won't fit on my 20 GB.

  • ok i wanted to clarify this for alot of people. i tried this out too. before i saw the video i felt "man..its not the fastest but definately improved." i was wrong. it is MUCH faster. i usually get to fighting in about 6 seconds or so. im not sure if it has to do with where i am in the game or my HDD etc. but this guy's video, his game loads for way too long.

  • fuck it wont

  • Ugh, I wish this video would stop floating around. In the "DVD"-Vid, he is obviously running a backup of the review copy or a bad disc, because there are no 30sek load times in the game when running from the DVD, period. The second video ("HDD loading") looked very much like how Lost Odyssey runs on my system, from the DVD. Battle loading times are 18sec AT MOST.

Now maybe HDD install really does improve that alot, but the first part of this particular video is absolute BS.

  • You're absolutely right. At 0:34, I've NEVER had to wait for the camera to circle the party. I've had battles load as fast as the 2nd video normally.

  • Review copies don't run on retail systems. But thanks for your wild speculation.

Umm.. I read.. the game is like 23gb total with the 4 discs..

So let's hope you got the 60 or 120gb hard drive...

you can uninstall a disc when you finish it.

  • Holy god, this is the first game I'm installing.

  • Umm.. I read.. the game is like 23gb total with the 4 discs..

  • A few seconds? try 20 seconds, and they add up over time (the game is quite long). I don't understand why its so unimportant for people to argue over faster loading times for games, they might as well go back to the stone ages.. no they won't do that will they.

  • in this game there are times when you get random encounters even fighting low lvl mobs and having to load each fight for that amount of time will accumulate overtime, ive fallen asleep from all the loadtimes before lol

  • which disc did u install? all of them?

  • May I ask what monitor you are using?

    It looks like Samsung`s T260 and it`s 16:10 monitor.

SO NXE can support 16:10 on T260?(using HDMI)

  • it's a 32" LCDTV samsung , i don't know it's series coz i buy it a long time ago.

  • My Lost Odyssey game has never loaded as slow as the DVD one you just showed. Its always been as fast as the second one you showed. This is really odd for me.

  • cool! I cant wait to install this and Oblivion!

  • Pretty huge improvement. I was "iffy" about getting this game because I heard the load times were pretty long but now being able to install it, I'm definitely picking this game up ASAP. Already have the NXE install on my second 360.

  • Wow that's a massive improvement. How big is the game once it's installed?

  • I just installed Disc 3 and it's 6.3 GB. I'm assuming the rest of the discs are in that ballpark.

  • Wait, doesnt the NXE come out nov. 19? how do you know this?

  • The NXE was leaked to the internet about a week or so ago. Odds are it was leaked by one of the NXE beta testers. Anyway, if you install it before 19th you can't go online unless you have one of the beta testing codes. Rumors suggest some people have been banned for using NXE early while being connected to Live.

  • HDD is what? i understand that it means hard disk drive but do you mean this game is on ps3 or something?

  • with the new xbox360 update coming out on the 19th you can install games on the hdd for faster load times

  • the new xbox experience dashboard (aka.NXE) has new "Install this game to hard drive" features.

  • nice! cant wait then

  • no, this game is "XBOX 360 only"

the XBOX 360 system get's a new system update and with that you are now able to install the whole game disc to the XBOX 360 HDD

  • that's totally awesome. loading time has really improved when it's on HDD.

what about framerate issues? especially when the battle is starting?

  • framerate issues has gone. and infinite undiscovery ( and many another game example:gta4 ) framerate issue has gone too.

  • really nice. :)

hopefully there also will be no framerate issues with Last Remnant when it's played from HDD.

I'm now totally exited about this NXE and can't barely wait till the 19th november when it's available . xD
