@superash31 John said in an interview, I think it was a 1995 Playgirl one, that he took the drugs because he was always very shy, even after becoming famous. They gave him confidence. He really had a lot of self-esteem problems and things going on, that we didn't know about. AA and re-hab seemed to help him, and he is still clean today(since late 94-early 95). He was and still is a very talented and handsome man!
