I like Westerns and this one was really a good one. The acting was phenomenal and the action scenes were everything you would want in a good Western. However, this movie was different from most of the same genre. I like the themes of this film and the overall story. I agree with this review a lot. Can't get why everyone on Earth praised this film, it's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever had to sit through. It's stressed through the whole film how Bale's character is weak because of his one functionnal leg then suddenly at the end he starts jumping from roof to roof like crazy as if he was stuck in the Batman character. Crowe's change of heart was completely silly, as for the acting wtf they both play the same one-dimensional baddasses they play in every of their films ! Come on.
I've heard people complaining about how weird the ending was; the part where the horse is running beside the train Ben Wade is on. In all honesty, I don't think it's stupid at all.
Ben Wade is a notorious criminal and those kind of guys know how to escape out of a jam.
That's just my opinion, of course. The movie was great by the way, HIGHLY recommend you go see it
Absolutely right. Its hard to explain it but usually scenes like that are so dramatic and over the top they dont seem real. In Yuma they nailed all those scenes, the directing and acting was spot on.
I wish they made more movies like this, and i dont like westerners.
All I have to say is, Watch: Once UPon a Time in The West, The Outlaw Josey Wales and Lonesome Dove. I actually am enjoying the new westerns and AofJesse James was a great remake better because of the cinematography and acting.

Well, no offense but you being a huge western fan kind of makes you sort of a western snob. Maybe not but I don't see how you could not like this movie other than that you are partial to the older westerns...This movie was great for people like me who are not really big western fans. It was pretty moving and the end was great in my opinion. I haven't seen the original...Did you like the original?
This movie did a great job of capturing the period of time in almost every aspect. That coupled with GREAT acting make for a very good movie. As with just about any movie, even documentaries these days, you have to suspend your disbelief in some cases in order to enjoy! It is, after all, a MOVIE. :)
the inconsistencies are pretty involved in the end, so no, quixoto. but 4 starred for young's turks intonation in "i LOVE these guys" and admitting his mancrush. i think the last character wasn't a complete turn around but the two characters got something off each other even though they dislike each other. that's why i think the turn works.
Great Movie , Cenk sounds so gay when he said he loved them just hoe he said it way liek a bitch.
