I think Eric used an R-Core power transformer but I have no idea what the output was - never even looked. My other Tweeds have Mercury Magnetics and Hammonds, both of which are readily available and excellent.
Try a Hammond, bit cheaper than MMs and go well with old Fenders. There's not much difference in sound whatever you choose, but the better quality makes are probably more reliable.
