Jejejejejejeje if I said come to Colombia we "don't" have speed limit usually they'll say no so ok. Why you don't choose Germany. They have the autobahn that is the world's fastest road. And they have ehra
If i was the cop i wouldnt even try to catch him id be like "well i guess ima just call it a day nd quit my job" hahaha fuckin helicopters wouldnt help either
In California but im perty sure most states will impound your car and take it away going over 30 mph, so if the speed limit was 65 and u were going 110 on the free way they would take it and some states even put a hold of 30 dollars a day to keep it in storage. and storage is around 60 dollars a day so most cant get their cars. the government keeps the car an auctions them off if u cant pay for it.
@formyfriends01 Hmmm prob just Cali is like that, heard you guys are strict about everything, guns, cars, emissions, etc. My gpa was doin 75 in a 35 ( lol old people) and he got a ticket thats it. The most ive done was 90 in a 65. Cop lowered it to 15 over. Nice cops in good ole north cakalaky.
@Holden599GTB Ya Cali is really strict with their laws. if the cop doesn't say u are going 15 under what u were they can impound it, but what i have seen alot of times is they have over amount of laws and the cops can chose who they want to enforce the law on depending on the kind of person u are from their observation. but America is becoming like a police state and that's just how it is. Even if a cop lies about something the judge would believe the cop over the other person.
@fashioncorpse Why would you outrun? If that cop got your tags on the radar, Not gonna be very hard to track down a Buggati, last time i checked theres not many around these parts ( the world )
@WhoooLovesOrangeSoda No, there's a special system if you're a generous donor, or a "friend" of the police force. You get a little white ticket, and it's basically a "get out of jail free card". Its checkbook justice at its finest.
well unfortunately that's not the case anymore now if your going over a 100mph you get arrested and they impound yer car. at least they do in Oregon so if you see the Christmas lights in your rear view mirror and you happen to look down at your speedo and your doing 100+mph just go for it.
@bjow324 The guy with the Veyron must've stopped, but why would he??? By the time they catch up to him which will be never, he coul've been long gone.
@TheMediaMasters - excuse me, but the USA Top Gear is written, directed and enacted by Americans. Well done for singling out an entire nation based on your ignorance, idiot.
@MikeyTingzz - i know its made by americans, but what I was pointing out is that when programs are originally made in one country by a company and then is sold on to companies in other countries
@AKCanadian It might not have been that hard. SR73 is a toll road (so less traffic), and that portion was only built about 15 years ago, so it's in pretty good shape. And I've seen the ticket--it was written at 1:35AM, when that road would have been close to deserted.
JC is wrong about the speeding ticket... here in cali, going over 90 or 100mph (I believe) in a 65mph zone is called a "Display of Speed" and you get your ass arrested and thrown in jail, not fined
@snipe1963 what they don't metion is the guy now has to go to court and will loose his license for awhile. my dad had his suspened for over a year for doing 157mph in a 55mph zone back in the early 80's.
The guy probably spent the night in jail though and was released ROR by the judge during arraignment to appear in traffic court. All in all, it was worth it (thank God no one was hurt in a crash).
@92RB20Monster and he can afford the cab fares until he gets his license back (garnenteed it will be suspended). he probaly got nailed for reckless driving and in Cali you can also be cited for street racing, which will cause the car to be crushed (if they wanna be an ass about it and throw the book at him).
its not that hard to find a 1.6 million dollar Bugatti Veyron anywhere in the United States................i know cuz ive only seen 1 lexus LFA in 13 difff states.............high end cars like that are deff noticable lol but i need to move to cali if im going to speed lol
@im2tweaked NASCAR driver Kyle Bush has a LF-A. he lives in south carolina. he got poped for speeding in that too. he got in big trouble, both with the police and with his sponsors/team.
@iwousa You're so right, my ticket for going 106 was $1292, plus 3 points on my license and the impounding of my car which in the end cost me another something like... $600
What I want to know is how the police managed to issue a ticket to a car going 210mph. By the time the lights went on, the Bugatti must have been miles away!
@trilltrillian helicopter (speed limit enforced by air patrol) or by toll distances (if he was on a tollhighway). they can nail you if you make it from tollbooth to tollbooth too fast.
@MaddDogg81 Depends on the context. If you're doing 210+ on the freeway in LA, sure, but if you're doing 210+ on the burn between LA and San francisco or sacramento on a long stretch, they may grant you leniency.
Particularly if you pull over and don't give cops any crap.
(Note: Cops really don't want to issue tickets; even at $500 for the maximum, most tickets cost more to process than they're made out for.)
@MaddDogg81 Not really....If you comply to stop than its all ok .....if you resist arrest by not stopping then you get a can of whoop ass coming your way :D
Lol! I have to show this to my husband! He will get such a kick out of it.

If you're rich, you're a powerful person
Basically the cop that gave the ticket must be driving a scooter, instead of a car.
