  • ohyes, the great american heroes .....taahaha...

  • I live in Düren, and I often go to Schwammenauel, Schmidt etc. which are really beautiful places. In the forrest, everywhere are old trenches, bunkers and you might sometimes find old ammunition there...

  • @putzmeister1989

I was member of the Belgian Army at Germany, last 13 years at Camp Vogelsang.

Deutsch ist auch kein problem, nur die rechtschreibung is nicht so meine sache, normal arbeite ich in Flemisch.

  • @putzmeister1989 iam dutch niederlander... live in maastricht and want to visit the hurtgen so bad..

  • @bleushift Its not very far from Maastricht... you can go to Aachen by train and then to the hürtgenwald by bus... I think its about a hour away from you...

  • @putzmeister1989 thanks fo4 info but i red the ww2 museum in vossenack is only open from march till september wich also includes a 10 km walk along defenses. were going to kalltrail too any idea how much the train to aken costs?

  • @bleushift I don't know the prices of netherland trains. In the Hurtgen Forest, there are many bunkers which you can visit. You can look for the Book Hürtgenwald 1944/1945 by Rainer Monnartz (ISBN 978-3-938208-68-7) which describes some routes through the forrest and includes historical backgrounds. I was not yet in the museum, but i've heard its very interesting..

  • good work.. just objective..

  • nicely done

  • thanks for uploading. i was born in aachen and lived in monschau, now in raeren, belgium. i know all the places one can see in this vid, and there s not one spot where u can here where u dont encounter traces of the horrible battles that waged here. thks to all the allied troops who gave theier lifes so i am free. think i ll go to henri chapelle tomorrow to show those heroes my respect again...
