His beat selection and musical constructions aren't that good. It's easy to find a classic Lupe Fiasco verse, but it's difficult to find a classic Lupe Fiasco song.

Which is why he shines on a track like this.

Classic tracks from him are from the mixtapes and Food & Liquor. In the end, Lupe now has lost the status of being the next "Nas" or what ever... But he still kills.
