@HammerOfTheSun Quarry beat alot of those legends. Floyd Patterson, Buster Mathis, Ron Lyle, and Earnie Shavers to name a few. His only losses were to the best of the best and the greatest of all time. Jimmy Ellis, Joe Frazier twice (both to cuts), George Chuvalo, Ken Norton, and Muhammed Ali twice (once by cuts)

@primeboxers the guy was 196 pounds and destroyed some of the best heavyweights when he was always written off, this sint about black or white its about a great fighter who ducked noone.
Jerry Quarry, as talented as he was at the time, was no match for a prime Joe Frazier. In this match, both men dispalyed great skill, toughness and courage. These are the trademarks of world-class professional boxers.
I miss the earlier era of dedicated professional boxers!!!!!!!
@thegiantpigeon they would kill each other lol, stamina are equall i think, handspeed goes to joe but rocky is a harder puncher i think and has a better chin so i think the ability to take punishment could be the determining factor. i may go with rocky but who knows lol. id love to see it though!
May both of these warriors Rest In Peace.

Quarry was overrated, lost a onesided KO to all the elite fighters, he was a white hope, nothing more....

@primeboxers
I see your point, but I don't see Quarry as overrated. He just happened to fight in a time of legends.
