  • I have a blue parakeet and i just got her yesterday and i named her skyler but i spell it skylar

  • *-* uuuuuuh <3

  • Oh he is sweet.

  • Can I have her or him

  • HOW DO YOU DO IT!!!

mine cant be outside the cage without flying around and going wild.. Why?

  • @logan45919 This may sound harsh but clip its wings (just a little) it will help you win its trust. Your Budgie may not be able to fly away and will depend on you to pick it up, and then it will get used to you.

  • @sammyalasu budgie, cockatiels are bigger

  • beautiful

  • Your budgie is beautiful

  • I will hold you and cuddle you and call you ADORABLE (Think I was going to say George?)

    I WANT :)

  • aww i have a baby bird too! im still working on taming

  • Comment removed

  • i wish my baby bird would let me touch him i touch him and he goes flying all over the cage and house can anybody tell me why tht happens hes blue and i have another one and it lets me carry him and stuff but the blue one doesnt can anyone help me???please respond

  • You see my bird would bite off my finger if she ever caught my trying to her at all. xD

  • you cut the tips of his wings?

  • Unless its already an adult, baby budgies fear nothing

  • oh soo cute!!

  • im pet just died yesterday and mi dad told me i can get a new pet and i want a budgie but i don't know anything about them can you help me by telling me the anwserds to my questons

    1:do they bit?

2:what do you do with them?

3: can u play with them?

    4:how long tell they die?

5:can u holed it and make it talk?

    plz help me

  • @sarah123403 hello :) 1: Some budgies bite and some one don`t. U can teach them.

3: The bird must be tamed before you can play with it.

4: they can get to 5-6 years.

5: Yes, you can. But it takes ALLOT of patience.

  • @sarah123403 1) Yes/No Some do but you can teach them not to.

    2) He/She will be your best friend if you spend a lot of time with them.

    3) Once it's tamed, yes you can.

    4) Up to 12 years.

    5) Once it's tame and if you spend a lot of time with it. Some birds just never pick up the skill of talking though.

  • Awww... I want!! O_o

  • I have one just like yours :D

So Cute! hey chick out my channel its all about budgies <3

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • thats the most adorable parakeet i've ever seen. and i have seen a lot!

  • How can you train your budgie to be used to you holding it?

  • Skyler looks exactly like my budgie named Bluey!

  • Thats a baby female. As she gets older, that white cere will turn to a crusty brown.

  • wow, so cute! =)

  • ow wauw i have exactly the same budgie but mine is so scared when i get near him i cant even put my hand in the cage he goes crazy i really want him to trust me but nothing works

  • @Unitor677 talk to him/her as if your budgie were a human but veeery carefully, ive been having mine in 2 weeks now or three, not quite sure, but just now a few seconds ago i accomplished touching him on the legs veeery smooth and silent, u also gotta move incredible slow and make weird noises under your taming.

not much to say but just make him thrust you! be as nice of person to your budgie as possible, they are BIRDS and NOT real pets, so its kinda sick, u being able to communicate with them

  • so what my 2 budgie are the mos tamed budgies evr cuz they r free to fly outside on the strret but they still come back home haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

maybe ur thinking that i m showing off but im not joking i have a greywing blue budgie and a green yello and black parekeet

  • awww... i have a budgie (parakeet) named sky! short for skyler!! soo cute!

  • @BEllana8472 THANK YOU SO MUCH for responding to me and ummm its to late they died :( it looks like the oil burned their skin

  • Cute!!!!!!!

  • how old?

    BEAUTIFUL budgie :)

  • NNNOOO!! Its too late she died (my parakeet)

  • I wish I could have bought her (if I was in the area!) - my budgie needs a friend, especially one that would encourage him to be tamer

  • My sis (3 years old) put baby OIL on my two parakeets:( they looked sick and terrible!! My mom washed them a bit but kinda helped a little they're getting normal again:) but since that day which was like 1 month ago I haven't heard them make a sound!! Is that bad AND we don't have a VET for them!!!:(

  • @puppy5115 standard-type budgies tend to grow a horn-like mass on their cere which may cause breathing problems, oil may soften this horn and causes it to fall off. anyhow, if they survived until now, the oil probably has not done any harm. are they back to normal by now?

  • i had a tame budgie but she died and not i have devils

  • @jjkillerbird that is weird!

  • TRIPLETWISTFAN yes they are the same

  • Lol I was watching this and my budgie started chirping :)

  • aww cute squarking

  • That is so cute, I want to hit someone in the face! Is that strange?

  • are budgies parakeets?

  • my budgie coco used to give me kisses on the mouth and play with my hair. soooo cute...but she died four years ago :(

  • @FionaBF I feel sorry for you, I had 2 die both the same color and that's when I bought a different color just today. :) :(

  • awwww.... my budgie was blue like yours, was tame like yours, I used to call him a pretty bird and he was perfect in every way.

Then before he even turned one he died.

  • she is not tame, she is handtame, that means she is used to be handled by the hand. ofcourse she can't fly away cause you cut her wings, and then u call her tame.

i call that BS cause she is unable to escape.

  • @Disxey Gimme a break, already.

  • This budgie has huge eyes... She's sweet ^.^

  • lol whats tame

  • where do you live , i need street number and area code (: im coming to steal her ! shes so beautiful !

  • skyler is a girl if u didnt relize

  • wow i am moving to the home of the aussies soon and i have never been allowed a bird of any sought. i had a hamster but it fell prey to my little sister who squeezed it till it literally popped! (grosss/nasty) but i have talked them into a non-talking bird and a budgie is top of the list even though males can talk.

    WIN!!!!

  • Its actualy simple people,if the budgie is small in age like this particular one,it will surely be realy easily tamed.I remember that i had one like it many years ago and he loved us like parents.the last one we buy he was already in some months growth so he didn't wanted to see our handsin his cage, not that he afraid of us it just not used to the idea.

  • so cute i have trained mine also they fly to me when called

  • its so cute.. i'm in the middle of training mine

  • how you make parakeets like you

  • does he talk?! O:

  • Lol, I have my new brood of new babie budgies coming soon, and the adults heard this twittering and went nuts, cant wait to tame my new babies when they get older!

  • i wish my budgie was that tame =/

  • AND I MEAN ITS SERIOUSLY ADORABLE I WILL ATTACH A VIDEO TOMOROW

  • OMG IM SO JEALOUS I WISH MY BUDGIE IS STILL A BABY SHES 4 RIGHT NOW SHES TURNING 5 P.S. UR BUDGIE IS SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO

    ADORABLE ;D

  • I will steal this budgie to kiss her fluffy belly and feed her oranges. You have been warned.

  • @Kneenibble haha

  • @Kneenibble they can't eat citrus fruits

  • @Kneenibble oh my god you sound just lke my sister she says stuff like that ALL the time

    Thanks for shareing this! :)

  • lol mine looks the same and has the same name!!!

  • @seanimallover4ever yea right...

  • that can ery jong budgie

  • sry aber der skyler hat angst der ist net zahm man keine ahnung haste

  • I used to have one just like it. it died of a heart attack after a thunderstorm. :(

  • @RachelF19 wow it got that scared??

  • @Koolkid736 that is my guess

  • is it harder to tame two birds then one bird

  • @DAVIDTV101 It might be a little harder or easier. What you should do is try to tame one only and then the other untamed parakeet will see that you are getting along well with the other and that way it will be easier.

  • Skyler <3 Very nice birdie!

  • u idiot, u dont make a bird tame like that and then sell it.

  • @Donkens If you tame a bird and then sell it, it will be a little easier for the buyer to tame it once again since he's been tamed before.

  • @Donkens Actually, my bird was quite tame when i got him from the store. He ate from my hand the first day he came

  • can you buy an already tamed parakeet

  • a baby

  • lovely girl. Wish I could afford one from an aviary focusing on Budgies. Got mine from a nice family run pet store but he came from a flock at 9weeks old, he was recently from their hatchery so was not handled before I got him. Hand feeding is best for bonding.

  • She has a sweet little voice.

  • she loved you... you horrible person... jk

  • Very cute and tame one. You can't see any fear in his face.

  • What a lovely budgie!!!

  • how did you tame her ? please tell me i really want to tame mine :(

  • It's very sad if you sell her, I mean she really trusts you..

  • Just as an FYI, your link is wrong. Thought you might like to know.

  • My budgie used to be tame like that, then that all changed when I introduced Love Birds into the house. Now my bird Charlie just visits with me once in a while but he no longer wants to be held or picked up. He's still my favorite though.

  • :O that is the most gorgeous tame budge I've ever seen in my life, she's abseloutely gorgeous!! <3 <3

  • @LogitechRocks i agree plz friend invite me!!

  • Skyler is so pretty. I just brought my new babies home yesterday. The little baby is only a week old, hand feeding him. The older is Toby, he's nearly two months old and oh so very gentle. He's a beautiful half sider. Thank you for posting your web site going to visit it now...

  • u name copier!

  • shes so cute ^_^

  • Oh, she's beautiful

  • Why would you breed a bird that is so common in shelters and parrot rescues? There are more budgies than there are homes for.

  • It ist lloking for food! The sound it does says, that it want to be feeded.

  • hey guys look at the keets wings its been CLIP

thats not the proper way of taming ahh bird...

  • @ainTsainTnoMore True, thats just fucking cruel

  • she's so cuteee!! ^_^

I have two, but they never let me touch them! so sad, I want to train them...

  • try feedin them with bird food in your hands... mines tame just like that ^.^ hope it works. COMMENT TO THE VID.- aww the budgie is really cute! and very tame which is just like mine! :D <3

  • My parakeets name is Skyler to. :P

  • it is a female

  • so cuteeeeeeeee

  • is the Budgie femele?

  • yea

look at the beak , it is sorta pink

  • @xulica91 if the beak is blue it means its a boy.and if the beak is pink it means its a girl .

  • Beautiful birdie - I love her wing pattern.

What bird is making the shrill sound - a baby of some kind?

See the vids on my channel!

  • I can do that with y parakeet.

  • how did u do that

  • get em from a baby and spend alot of time with em ;)

  • I have an untamed rainbow lorrikeet, its a lot of trouble,it poops ALL OVER THE PLACE!!

  • i can tell its a young bird

  • my parakeet Angie looks just like the sky too! i could have named her Skyler too but im okay with Angie

  • lucky mine is scared from me. what can I do

  • so cute baby girl..she dont even know yet to sing :X

  • !~HELP~! -

Hi, I got my budgie for almost 3 weeks now. He does not go crazy when i go near the cage, but whenever i try to get him on my finger. he would move away from my finger.

Does anybody have anymore ideas of how to tame a budgie?

  • Never put your finger towards your budgie if it's not tame. Try to give it very carefully millet from your hand. If there's ANY signs of being afraid, quit it, and try again a little bit later. Repeat this about 2-3 times a day. Maybe you should keep the cage ''hand free'', so that you could train your bird just out of the cage. That means that your bird can fly away, if it doesn't like it, so the whole thing would be voluntary.

  • lol cute...he still makes baby bird noises.

  • yea thats the reason too but its mostly because they now got her so she is tame and sceard

give her 3 days like that you'll see her wild and mad all over the place

  • The reason this one is tamed, is because she is a baby and scared stiff.

  • i have 2 untamed budgies. I have had them for a while now. I think i want to tame them ... do you think it is possible i still can or is it too late? or should i try to tame their baby ( if the egg hatches because i don't know if it is fertilized) instead?

  • omg i miss mine : ( : (

  • aww what a cute budgie

  • What a sweet little chirp she has! So dainty and delicate! Aww! She warms my heart!

    ;-)

  • yesterday i went to my friends house, and i saw his budgie, and tried to get him onto my finger, and damn, he was aggressive. bit me then flew out of his cage. and his cat went crazy and got scared and it took us 20 minutes to catch him. and the only part of your body he perches on is your head lol.

  • Well if somebody botches it then yes there will be bad effects. What I meant by getting a haircut was that the feathers will grow back like normal after the next moult. I didn't "wiki" this. There is a right way to do it and a wrong way. This bird has it's wings clipped the right way. If somebody botched the wing clipping job on your cockatiel, that's your problem.

I don't advocate clipping wing feathers. My birds aren't clipped. I am just correcting your false assertion.

  • It looks like my older blue one, and looks about the age of my slightly newer bird, Peep. Peep is the softest little yellowy thing I ever felt. Now I wanna go play with them.

    Really cute bird.

  • Hi, could someone please watch my help video on how to train my budgie! everything you need to know is there. Can someone please help me!!

  • CUTE

  • do that 2 ma budgie he would take bludy hand of u he thinks he rocky lol

  • aww its sooo cute and its cute when it chirps my 2 baby budgies love to talk with her when i put this vid they start chirpin too!

  • cute!!

  • how do you start to handtame a budgie

  • my parakeets wings are clipped will it still be able tto fly when its older?

  • wings grow back o_O

  • hello well u have to cute thr wings every 2months cuz it will growm back

  • They will grow back but it is most likely that they wont grow back properly, therefore he/she will not be able to fly properly.

Clipping isn't necessary to train a bird, we have 2 hand tame birds which have not had their wings clipped.

  • That is nonsense. They will grow back properly after she moults in all likelihood and she will be able to fly like normal. Those wings looked like they were clipped properly. I don't clip my birds' wings by the way.

  • You do realize that 'clipping wings' just means that the end of the feathers are clipped right? It's just like a human getting a haircut. If you clip the ends of the feathers, there isn't any blood supply or nerves and it is painless. The bird then moults the clipped feather out and grows a new one like normal.

  • Hmm it's actually not quite like getting a haircut, more like breaking a leg (not necessarily from a pain point of view but you are removing their main means of moving)

And, i agree it won't always cause the feathers to grow back badly but it can, like my cockatiel (we were given it after the wings were already clipped badly). We let the wings grow back but it still couldn't fly very well.

You can just "wiki" this information clipping isn't just the tips of the wings there are several methods.

  • wings are clipped -__-

  • id say 1 month

  • true when mines were one month and i held they made the same sounds

  • i have parakeets and their really tamed! yours is really pretty tho!

  • still pretty young! i'd say 3-6 months!

  • I have a blue budgie named Sky she is nearly a year old now since i can determine she's a girl and she is pretty tamed i guess i can take her out of her cage to any part of the house fine, but she is very active and never sits still she loves to nibble on my fingernails and play with her toys

  • I have a budgie. He's tame but not as tame as urs

  • My bird looks exactly the same.. and his name is Skylen what a coincidence :)

  • why does my bugie does'nt lay any singgle egg even she's pregnant 4 months????

  • looks just like my chingy :]

  • What a pretty budgie. I love her big eyes.
