  • If your windows is just corrupted, you can look through your hard disk for your UID in a Linux LiveCD with a hexedit on it or maybe Autopsy.

  • Good video, TrueCrypt is also good for those who avoid terminal. Do you know of any way of encrypting your whole boot drive? This option is available for Windows TrueCrypt but its missing in the Linux version!

  • @sini8080 Hmmm, not sure about that one. I know that with the latest versions of Fedora there is an option to encrypt drives at time of creation, but i've never messed with it before.
