  • I saw these guys with this line-up in 1972. My very first concert. They opened for Bloodrock. They were jammin'.......and I remember how loud they were for that time.

I see on here questions about what ever happened to Tony Driggins, but really no comments. I remember Tony jamming his ass off and keeping the crowd entertained the entire show.

  • These guys were real talented showman. When you seen them you were guaranteed to see an amazing show.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Wow, the breakdown at 2:35 predates Cat Scratch Fever (1977) ! Lol, Nug's been ripping off his fellow Detroit rockers, lol.

  • What a great group, so underrated though, REAL rock'n roll band, pure adrenaline...

  • Hi I am Chris Driggins, the brother of the Bassist "Tony "Tone' Driggins.

I always think of him practicing with Mile Lutz, Cubby Coda and others in our basement in Michigan.

I am also known as Chris Birdman Driggins in Vancouver, Washington

  • @Birdman24732 Your brother was an excellent bassist. I love watching him in this video! But why didn't he continue with Brownsville when they got really famous?

  • Ann Arbor boys!

  • theres a peggy sue riff on 0:53

  • staple of pbs detroit in early 70s!5 songs in first broadcast "rock with the music" "wanted dead or alive" "mr robert" "jonahs here to stay(guitar replacing sax solo!) and long version of "country flavour" with cub koda rap very much like in the clip of "barefootin" from 2 years later.pbs later recut with 2 songs omitted as part of longer show also featuring don crawford and fanny.still one of the best half hour rock shows.WHERE ARE OTHER 3 SONGS!! cheers from t bone mankini

  • I luv Tony Driggin's outfit. Would luv to have pants like that!

  • My favorite band and song of all time ! They were the best live act to ever play the original Cleveland Agora. Crowd would just go wild. Got in trouble for misbehaving in school and Dad would not let me go see them play the new album live over the radio from Agency Recording above the Agora. Taped the show in my room and played this song every day after school. At the free WIXY radio festival at Edgewater Park in Summer 1972 they blew away every act. Great to finally see this after 37 years !

  • hey they opened up for alice in 71 hi michael lutz saw ya with ted in peoria 1999

  • Love these guys-- they WERE Rock'n'roll -- '70's style !

  • This is good enought to find out just how good these guys were..as for quality..it is what it is..I love it..

  • Whatever happened to Tony Driggins?

  • He passed away-him and Cubby

  • Wild Wednesday! Best $5 deal ever!

  • to bad this sounds like crap...all of you get their first album....it was a huge surprize to all of us how rockin tight it was ....great colorful cover to get high and look at tooooooooooooooooo.

  • Get on the "Guitar Train"!! Rolled a few on the cover back then-whoo-hoo!

  • Do you know which album Red Back Spider was on? I can't seem to find it...anywhere.

  • @MusicDude86 Red Spider was just a single-never made it on a album-just a 45 release

  • I'm guessin the Detroit auto show, 1972, my bass player was there and carried his tape player, oops! I think Nugent was there too, sorry i missed that one! I heard 'em on a shitty bootleg tape, man i was hooked!

  • Thanks 4wardstraight! Do you know where this vid was shot?

  • Wow! Cubby, Henry, Tony and Mike-goes to prove ung'uns- they did WAY more than smokin in the boys room! I knew Cubby and Henry, and when "Night On The Town" came out in 1972-- i was 15- goin on 16--played this song in Dexter high school, and man--they were my heroes, and great guys! When i get my double knee replacement, Cubby and the band will live again, i promise! Michigan Rocks!!

  • thanks for posting!!!! great !!!!

  • Hey 4wardstraight... do you know where this video originated from?

Classic Brownsville breakdown in the middle. You can hear it again on thier version of Sweet Jane...

    Detroit still rocks!

  • WOW! What a fun video. It sure brings back memories. I'd love to see more of Brownsville Station.

  • Reminds me of Sherwood Forest back when Ted Nugent was playing Wild Wednesdays, Super Sundays. You could commonly hear Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Montrose, Mr. Floods Party, SRC...a stop for all Detroit acts

I also remember a brief tour with Cub when he came of the road with Brownsville to team up with Mugsy and called themselves Cub Koda and the Points...

    Those were excellant times!

  • WoW ! Thanks.

I Love Brownsville Station. I love seeing Mike Lutz, Cubby Koda Henry H-Bomb the bomb & Tony Driggins preform. Thanks for sharing !
