I attended a seminar on 1/16/10 in Woodbridge, for my style of jujutsu, Sho Bushido Ryu. I met Professor World and one of his brown belts, and they gave a demonstration. They were the most humble, respectful and proficient brothers I have met outside of my own style! I gained more insight into my style by watching the Professor operate. These cats are the truth, and what the martial arts are all about as I have grown to know it. 'nuf respect.
If you search this art's history, you'll find that it's founder Moses Powell Learned Jujutsu from Professor Florendo Visitacion who studied Small Circle Jujutsu under Professor Wally Jay (its founder) who learned Judo & Jujutsu from Dan Zan Ryu Jujutsu Founder Henry Okazaki who was the first to introduce Jujutsu to americans. if you trace most of the Arts like Vee-Jitsu, Sanuces, & lots of other Martial Arts Systems, you'll find they Spawned From Okazaki's System.
Great work Prof. King. I studied under Prof. Lou Ferrer and Soke Popasan, and Soke Haisan kaleak. I also got to meet the DR. many years ago. What an honor. Keep up the great work and continue to spread his work. " Each one, Teach one " Grandmaster Tony Mayo
First off, much respect and homage to Dr. Moses Powell. Secondly, I come from a Korean based martial arts system and understand that Jiu Jitsu is Japanese. I want to know if anyone can explain to me the difference between titles Sensei and Shihan?
@mediumismessage -- sensei is generally used as a translation of 'teacher'. the title shihan is used for a higher rank of black belt that has been earned. but as long as a shihan has students, he is a sensei.

Sensei King is a very good martial artist. I have met him a few times and he is pretty nice guy. Appearances can fool you because if you see him, he doesnt look the part! :-) His stuck like glue techniques are a beast!
It is amazing to me to see the mastery of the principle of redirection. found in the jujutsu, akido, judo, anf western wresling.
