  • my adj spot 250 is just showing half gobos .. dunno how to fix it ... need help..where to download operating manual for this.. ...thank you ..

  • Hey buddy first off got to say sick build on the light show. I just picked up a pair of these and im looking to get into some programming. I read that in this video you used Freestyler? Do you have a copy of your show you could send me? Im just using it for little bar's and parties and this would be nice. Thanks man

  • what about the heat inside this lighT? does it heats up a lot??? knowing halogens are very hot lights.. it can be continous playing throughout all the night or duty on-off cycleS? thank you for answering :)

  • @koronaa heat no problem, just before turned off stop them so they will automatic switch lamp off and then let them run for 5min extra so fans can cool the insides lamp housing..ps-take for litle more dj spot 300 "turning gobo's'

  • @darfails yes i have one they can fade.

  • ok, the video mentioned you had a customized beam angle... what angle di you put in it and what as the original factory beam angle?

  • hmm can you have them in sound active without a dmx controller?

  • how did you put them in?

  • did u use the stock lens on these ? or how did you get the wider angle ?

  • @natebrain1 i used some lenses off of other lighting fixtures it made a big difference :)

  • @brandonmcgee17 what lighting fixture was that?

  • @dj042010 hmmm.. maybe read the title of the video... LOL :)

  • @brandonmcgee17 what lens of the other lighting fixture did you use to get a better beam angle

  • @dj042010 The Chauvet Intimidator 1.0

  • @brandonmcgee17 The Chauvet intimidator 1.0's beam angle is not 20° its 12.5°

  • @dj042010 did i say it was 20? even if the 1.0's are 12.5, the lense obviously made a big difference in the optics

  • how did you add a gobo?

how do you have split colors within that gobo?

  • How exactly did you customize the beam angle? Looks good. I like the wide beams.

  • @850sound i took lenses out of some old scanners and put them in carefully... they no longer have this wide beam angle anymore.

  • Just purchased two of these units and wanted to know what controller/software you use to program these lights? I have a simple control but want something that I can program. Thanks!

  • @jasontannerdesign get a usb-dmx interface such as the velleman vm116. or you can purchase a software program such as marting lightjockey, american dj my dmx. with the velleman vm116 you can use that with freestyler dmx. thats what i used for this video. the velleman cost little money and can be purchased off ebay. if you have any other questions, dont hesitate to ask

    good luck :)

  • gail

  • @kingbushido2121 gail? what does that mean?

  • @brandonmcgee17 that mean cool

  • @brandonmcgee17 awesome bro, i own 4 of them , i want to to the angle adjustment, can u help me plz.

  • @SuperJulianmoreno i only changed the beam angle because i had old scanners with a wider beam angle then the dj spot's. so i removed the lenses out of the scanners and put them in the moving heads.

  • Can you have split colours on a gobo?

  • no, this moving head has limited effects. i would suggest purchasing higher end lights if your looking for them

  • @brandonmcgee17 I'm looking for something cheap, just to small gigs and home parties!!

  • these fixtures would probably be good for you then

  • Nice Show!

  • Hey I have 2 questions, Can the gobos and color rotate on their own? (Becouse i read from some review on pssl that the the gobos didn't) also is this light good for large rooms?

  • im not sure what you mean by rotate by there own....if you mean the moving head changing gobos and colors without dmx control, then yes they do move by them self when in sound active mode. The lights are great for large rooms, but make sure you use fog to greater enhance the projection beams.

  • nice programmed

  • thanks!

  • DMX-512 moving head with fast, smooth movement

    - 10 gobos + spot

    - 7 colors + white

    - High velocity fan for continuous use (no duty cycle)

    - 6 DMX channels

    - 2 operation modes: DMX-512 or stand alone (sound active)

  • nice job with beam angle i have one of these but that would still make it awesomer

is that original gobo/color at 1:05?

  • thank you...

and no that gobo i customly put in :)

  • cool yea i can see how you could do that... very nice

  • Hi, nice video, so can the gobos that are in the unit originally be removed or is it a solid wheel?

    Thanks

    S

  • i think they have little pins in them that arnt ment to come out... but... thats all i know im getting 2 adj dj spot 300's with rotating gobos built in

  • is that from a par can gloss cover? thats nice sucks they dont have come out with custom gobos / spining.. thanks man

    TM

  • beautiful beautiful!!! where did you get the bigger beam angle at.. i got 8 and been tryin to upgrade them???

  • i actually took lensis out of old lights i dont use anymore....then did some adjustments...it was fairly easy

  • You need to take time to program something with these that is as sequenced as the "hero" light show that you did with the intimidators.

I like the custom gobo you put in - it adds a lot to the fixtures.

As you proved in the Hero show, the fixtures are what you make them. If you put a lot of effort in to it, you can make your show with fixtures that don't have a prism or rotating gobos a lot better than a show where someone who can't really program well uses a killer fixtures.

  • thats a definit thing on my list of things to do. sometime this week im gunna set them up in my basement and programm them and record videos.

the custom gobo that i put in really looks amazing when your in a big room with light fog or haze. the purple and white go really good together :)

and yes, a fixture is what you make of it. its the programmer mainly.

thanks for watching and commenting my videos, i really appreciate it :)

look soon for more to come

    -brandon

  • crap 6 movers. dam does ur back hurt after putting 6 of them upside down on a truss?

such a pitty they dont have rotateing gobos or a seperate shutter and them im guessing no prisim wheel as well

maybe look into the Accu spot 250's ?

i just got 2 PR solo 250's and im loving them they seem to be a upgraded version of the dj spots but from a diff company.

  • yea i do get some cramps after a days work lol. but thats all in the job i guess. it does suck that they dont have rot. gobos or a shutter. the main reason why i got them is because they are cheap and good to start out with. the accu's are way to expenive for my budget right now. I have customized all of my dj spots by adding a new gobo and putting 20 degree lenses in them for a way bigger beam angle. there fun to use and very reliable. :)

  • are these MSD or ELC? cause in ur vid they look "white white"

  • sweeet. i want them!

  • The only thing I wish these had was rotating gobo's. Other than that they look like a great moving head.

  • yea rotating gobos would be nice....and maybe a seperate shutter. I know they had a Dj Spot 300 with rotating gobos but for some reason that didnt last long, its already discontinued.

  • Separate shutter?

so it has to scroll through the gobos to get to blackout?

  • no this fixture is not equpped with a seperate shutter.
