The difference is that a child is receiving nourishment. Urinating is releasing waste from the body. Second, the penis does function as a sexual organ, and as a way to release waste from the body. When my son was born 12 years ago there were affordable shirts and bras designed so that you didn't have to tuck their head under a blanket or expose the entire breasts. The whole issue boils down to a mutual respect. Breastfeeding is a beautiful natural thing, but I do think there are a few mothers out there who are also possible exhibitionist and go out of their way to announce what they are doing which makes some very conservative people uncomfortable.

You're claiming that it's "pushed more than it needs" while it's the natural way to do it. It's called a nonsense.
Also, you know perfectly that in the real world, public breastfeeding mothers are those being frowned upon. And you perfectly know that it's not an issue about the ability to do so, but about morality and social codes.

I don't care how you feed or educate your kids, it's your concern, not mine. My point was only about people for whom it's an issue to breastfeed in public for the sake of morality, and those raising fallacious points about its fantasized social consequences.
Read my last comment about it, I do not rant people who don't want to breastfeed for whatever reason, but those imposing their moral rules to others.

ill tell u this but...i saw a lady breastfeeding her twins a few years back she was at the station platform and her top was lifted over the back of her neck to expose her breasts compleatly...whilst i agree we shouldnt be ashamed of out body i think that was a tad bit rediculous, whats ur take on that?

@d3formed I'm all for breastfeeding. I plan on it myself. Personally, I don't think the issue is being comfortable in your own skin to breast feed in public. I think it's more of a matter of consideration and respect for other people. Some parents don't want to tell their kids what breast feeding is as they walk by. And I'm sure that if some child were to see that for the first time in public, they'd get confused and probably think it's okay to just suck on his mothers nipple.Again consideration

The actual issue is that some people still think in the 21th century that seeing a piece of naked skin such as a breast will confuse their children. A child doesn't see it as sexual, the only people shocked in here are socially conditioned adults.
And your "they'll think that it's okay to suck on his mother nipple" is an utterly retarded argument. It's the same matter as explaining to a child that he's too old to be fed with a baby bottle or cleaned by someone else in the toilet.

The parent of course would have to explain the situation. That was my point in consideration. Some people aren't ready to talk to their kids about these things. Some people aren't ready to talk to their kids about what? Nudity? Being breastfed? Facts of life? Are they talking to their kids at all? When a child ask how babies are made, are they telling them that they got sent via FedEx?

One serves a legitimate purpose (feeding a baby who cannot yet accomodate to our social norms), the other serves none. It's enough to invalidate the point you're trying to make.
Anyway, it's not the matter of my previous point. Oanhiiful was claiming that children seeing nudity or breastfeeding will be confused. I only say that it's an adult moral fantasy : it nullify a child' individuality by transferring moral walls that aren't his owns, but those of a sexually receptive person.
