  • It's 2010. Where is it?

  • @NewLynxChannel Do you know of a website that can explain to me in SPECIFIC detail what exactly a cell does and what it's potential is? Can you? If possible.

  • @matey27 Are you utterly brain dead? You do realize, the PS3 renders everything it does with 256MB of RAM and crap for video. The Cell is doing everything for the PS3. The PS3, in all essence is a super computer and MANY people use it for that. I've seen them linked in series and used for grid computing. The cell processor has more power behind it then most peoples home computers. Imagine a Dual Cell CPU, that's 16 total cores. You're flipping crazy.

  • Everyone's stuck on how many channels you can watch at once. That's really no where near as amazing as the ability to upscale any video feed to 2160p on the fly. THAT is the most impressive feature of the TV by far. The amount of processing that has to be done to make that happens is insane. This TV is a beast. The cell processor is a beast. Believing otherwise at this point is just blatant ignorance.

  • Does CELL TV means it has a CELL CPU???

  • Wow this TV will help me cure my ADD

  • so much porn u could watch at once!!!!!!!!! lol xD

  • BEST TV EVER PERIOD

  • Toshiba can use they cell, they helped to make it...

    STI=Sony,Toshiba,IBM.

  • The newer verion does not need a remote.

You wave your hand in the air like a Wii controller and it reads it using infrared.

  • I strongly believe that a TV should be a dumb client and all extensive processing should be handled outside in a separate device before the processed image enters the TV.

  • pfft... seems like a stupid idea for a new invention.

Who gives a crap if it shows multiple channels at once -.- I certainly know i wouldnt pay any more for a useless feature like this

  • I like what he said "I don't know why anybdy would want this but hey it looks cool" ha ha ..nice hinest opinion from some who had 2 stand by this cell tv day in and day out through this Vegas tech-show.But who knows some ppl got money to burn look how many ppl bought a ps3.

  • @07duncan17 Thank you sir for bringing this to my attention. As his boss, this employee will be summarily fired, I will make sure of it!!! Haha

  • no don't fire him for being honest thats just to much like sony would do ha ha ha !

  • Theres still never anything decent on tv anyway. I'd rather use a computer.

  • @MrElechandsup True, TV content is far too dumbed down most of the time. In any given year, there's maybe a total of 3 or 4 shows that are even watchable, but watching without commercials online is much preferable. Internet is way more valuable than TV content, but TV content often costs more! Ha!

  • This TV use's the Processor from the PS3 by SONY!

This should be an AWESOME TV and it's looking like it so far.

  • does it do 2 channel PAP? cause thats what people want.

  • talk about 3d, so, what's 3d tv looks like? do you need a pair of glass to view it like the 3d movie?

  • @WaterJay I'm assuming you are talking about polarized (un-colored) 3D glasses. LCD TV can only emit polarized light in one direction (a requirement for the inverter). I think you can use a DLP television to project light polarized in different directions for use with 3D glasses.

  • all that just to watch tv gayyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • graphical userface?

  • Kind of seems like an oxymoron: save time while watching T.V.

  • think if there was a water tv!

  • I wonder if Panasonic will develop something similiar for their 3D plasma panels

  • wth is the point of multiple channels, seems like a waste of money.

  • Mentioned this week at CES it can also live convert a 2D channel to 3D

  • I don't think I would want that TV- for the HD I would- But still-eight channels streaming at the same time? worthless unless you have eight different people who all want to watch different things all at the same time.

  • Forty eight channels are useful for brain washing, or so I've heard.

Is it on mute while multiple channels showing? Or does the sound overlap?

  • japanese RULE!!!

  • this is exactly as back to the future 2!

something that would happen in 2015 happened earlier, but thought about in the 80's!!!

    this is crazy.

  • wow thats amazing...there was a back to the future 2?

  • Well, the Cell's implementation in a gaming console is still questionable, but for heavily streaming tasks like this its great.

  • Why is the camera practically up his nose?

  • Nice eyes , muy bonito ;)

  • cool

  • wow !nice

  • japan ftw

  • But they wouldnt all have sound on each channel so its not really watching 8 programs at one time

Personally I think this is just a novelty

  • Looks like the TV I'm gonna buy next year :D

  • This is back to the future!

Remember Michael J. Fox when he put on a big screen TV 8 channels at the same time?

That was the 80's and it's happening right now!

  • Yeah I remember that :) But now as an adult I don't see the point, I never watch TV haha

  • That screen showing lots of different channels at the same time reminds me of the Video Wall channel on Optus Vison back in 1996, does anybody on Australia remember that?

  • i've said it before: I need another channel in my HEAD .... if someone invents that, I am in . do you all get what i'm saying (:

  • this is awesome...

  • Just buy 8 xHD Tv's does the same thing :)

  • that's good if u have $...:)

  • LOL epic

  • second half third half fourth half............the brotherhood are really letting anyone in these days lmao

  • My wii can do that :)

  • I want one!!!!! Look like the Wii menu.

  • looks like a mess

  • hey looks really GREAT oO need this TV n1

  • NFL and the tv found paragliding Hmmm.
