when played accurately, it is obviously more difficult to play something faster than slowly. paco's technique is flawless, and he doesn't lose precision when he plays fast. no one can match him... no one.

paco's unique. the best ever. some people just don't know what they're talking about. they witness the best guitarrist ever and they don't even realize it. there are no child prodigies that play fast like paco. much less with paco's accuracy and technique. if you find them show them.

^^I agree.Though speed is very impressing,it says nothing without a beautyfull melody that makes your soul travel.Paco's songs have that ability.Just listen to the people when he plays the melody at the 00:40sec.When I heard them It made me smile!

The reason he was known as "slow hand" was because of the "Slow Hand Clap" that the audience used to do because it took him so long to change his strings in the early days of his career. There are blues players out there who can make clapton sound like a journeyman, (good and all as he is).

@madnassos actually he got that name for getting slow hand claps for playing what was considered very fast in the 70's. I think tone, originality, speed, technique, and the difficulty of the composition is what determines the best.

i was there.poor paco he was ill that day. i had the honour of meeting him after the concert!!!he is a very simple and gentle person. in Salonica 2 days later he was far better in his health and in his playing.
