Haven't heard Chopin for a while, then to Ms. Fliter's Chopin Waltzes record. I find her interpretations outstanding, with much more feeling and intensity than in any other that I listened to before.
In some of the waltzes it took me a long time to recall the melodies in my mind, maybe due to her speed or modulation. My next musical mission with my kids is to show them Chopin, but another interpreter 1st. Then I will ask them to hear her interpretations.
Let me put this clear: she does not plays everything with what you called "isolated finger technique". On the contrary, she uses her arm and forearm in a very helpful and healthy way, hence the crystal clear and warm sound.
But in order to take your comment more seriously, I would love to see and hear an example of YOUR piano technique.
This Ingrid might be one of the most underrated pianists in this world. Heck I hadn't even heard of her until now, I'll be sure to remember her name. Her interpretation of waltz op. 42 is so exquisite, colorful, and I thought Yundi's was best until now lol.
She's an amazing pianist, and she didn't win the Chopin competition,,,the jury had prefer Yundi Li,to her...so don't believe in those big events...She's much better than Li for sure.

Have you all seen her Piano-Technik?
I think it is to hard for Chopin. She plays everything with isolated Finger-Technic.
In Oposit to Chopin´s meaning.
