extremely helpful to me. Thanks for posting it. There are a lot of options for cleaning and the kit I purchased came with a combination lubricant & cleanser. Do you think that having a separate spray is a better option?
@MDS1958 I do have videos on that, but that is a great critique. Thanks for the comment, I will make sure to add that in later to other cleaning videos.
Question: what size brass brush are you using on the barrel? It looks nicely over-sized. The Red Head and Winchester brushes for 45 cal. I've gotten aren't a tight enough fit. Would you recommend a .50 caliber brush for .45 ACP barrel for thorough cleaning? Nice and detailed video. Thanks.
@MDS1958 I forget which one it is, it is a 45 brush, just do not know the brand. It might be a Tipton is memory serves me right. I use the right size on barrels and do not recommend .50 on .45.... Thanks for commenting..
@aannkk Royal Purple is thinner, much thinner. I use it on the inside of the barrel. Militec-1 or Mpro-7 LPX is my favorite gun oil on all the other parts....
Just bought my M & P .45 and could not be happier. For now anyway. Great instructional video for those of us who are mechanically challenged. Cant wait to clean it. Thnaks again.
Ordered some Ballistol today from firehawktech - competitive pricing. Check out an interesting history of this oil/cleaner. There is a section about unusual uses that includes dippipng a shaving razor blade in some of this oil to significantly extend the razor's life.

Only thing you are lacking is an explanation of what the products are that you are using and differences between them. Thanks for posting.

Rust is contagious, be careful with that screwdriver. Being that it's a craftsman just bring the friggen thing in and get a new one at sears.
