  • @jackie826xx haha!

  • eprepe na to afhsei na kanei kaimaki

  • Next time how to make frappe please

  • Great video! Thank you! Greetings from Greece / Crete! :-)

  • Turkish / Greek = Geerkish

  • Dear Pretty Lady.. I'm sorry that this is Turkish coffee. Baklava (μπακλαβάς) is also belongs to Turks. Sincerely.

  • Yeah that is definitely Turkish coffee but a bit "worse" :) After you couldn't get result from μπακλαβάς (baklava) by saying that it is belong to Greece now are trying to say this "so called" coffee is belong to Greece?

"Simply" write greek coffee and google it. Read wikipedia you ignorants :)

  • Actually, its ORIGINAL name is TURKISH COFFE. Respect.

  • that isn't a tea spoon! That must be a very strong coffee

  • I do not know what you all saying but the whole world knows this coffee is from Turkey

  • you were born in the USA ?

  • how long does it take (boiling)?

  • @nadastasia 3-4 minutes from room temperature water

  • @MIKE192rotary

    okey thanks for answering me

  • very nice . thanks

  • Nothin' like mama

  • Thanks! Making some nice foamy coffee now.

  • izlemeye başlamadan çözdüm olayı amcıklar kesin bizim kahveyi çaldılar diye, meğer aşırmışlar

  • aww..he loves his mama

  • Looks great!

  • Is anyone antigreek??????

  • @culturimnation η μανα σου καριολη :)

  • I think it's funny because most of the suggestions are for turkish coffee

  • all nations have a traditional food except Greece, they all steal Turkish food and put an ' i ' letter to the back and a new word, like cacik, caciki, kadayif kadayifi, you are just ridicilous guys.Go and discover some recipes.

  • @kanka24 Who said that I'm Greek? Things aren't as black and white as you make them out to be. I doubt you've done sufficient research to make the statements you're making. I've studied mediterranean history at university, and I can assure you Greeks didn't take all their food from the Turks. First of all, the ancient Greeks were eating souvlaki/kebab-like food thousands of years ago. Stop trying to insult Greece, and go educate yourself. I hope you're still a child, because this type of

  • @kanka24 arrogance and ignorance is unacceptable from an adult. By the way,I mentioned that the majority of Turkish culture has been adopted from the Persians, Arabs, and peoples of the Balkans, and yet you simply concentrated and tried to discredit the Greeks. Your response clearly shows your prejudice towards them. You're not worthy of this conversation, or a proper education.

  • @JHMichaels I am a Phd At Harvard University, just watch Discovery channel foods documentary, you will learn kebap was discovered by Turks in Asia before Christ.Just google it, I have enough education, probably more than you and I didnt learn Mediterranian culture by reading like you, I learned it by living which is the best way to learn anything.

  • @kanka24 PhD in what? I think you're talking shit, but whatever it doesn't matter. Discovery channel? You claim you have a PhD and you watch the Discovery channel to educate yourself? Meat on a stick, and wrapped in bread was eaten by the Greeks thousands of years BC, and probably in other parts of the mediterranean. Turkic tribes are a late arrival in the area. What do you mean you learnt it by living? What does that have to do with documented history? You're full of shit buddy.

  • @JHMichaels you are a piece of shit man,you only hate Turks, thats it.Meat on a stick is coming from Asia from Huns BC . How will you explain Greek people sell our deserts in Usa like theirs ? You only studied a few years these cultures but I was born and raised there, thats the difference. How about Baklava? You look so smart I am sure you have an explanation for it too, Greek gods were eating baklava right? ha ha ha.

  • @kanka24 I don't hate Turks at all my friend, I only like the truth. I'm not claiming that NOTHING in Turkish culture was developed by the Turks, only that most wasn't. I don't know of the history of baklava, but most of the cakes in the Turkish and Balkan cultures were originally eaten by the Arabs. You're continuously getting stuck only on the Greeks, you obviously have a complex with them.

  • @JHMichaels I dont hate Greeks, the only thing I hate is in Usa all our food were known as Greek food, even yogurt, yogurt is the only Turkish word in English, 100% Turkish invention, if you dont believe me you can google it or wikipedia.Even you know every where it says Greek Yogurt. For Longman,Oxford and Cambridge dictionary Yogurt is a Turkish word and other languages adopted it. Everybody is eating pizza and pasta but I dont say that these are Turkish, these are Italian.

  • @kanka24 I think Pizza is Arabs' invention...

  • @kanka24 How do you know the Turks invented any of that? Greece was occupied by the Ottomans for many years, in fact most of the Ottoman Empire was simply conquered Byzantine land. Whose to say a Greek in Turkey didn't invent these things? There were plenty of Greeks in modern day turkey... you know... since the Turks simply took all that land which wasn't originally theirs. Don't complain about us taking your coffee. You can have it back as soon as we get back Constantinople.

  • @grimakis Actually we never owned the city the romans first builded the city and trasfered most of their civilization there. After centuries the romans absorved a portion of the greek civilization making the most part of the city orthodox. Then the othoman turks took over the city and greece along with "macedonia",bulgary and albania. It was around 1930 with the treaty of lozanh that turkey took over the city after a long century of wars to set the independancy of greece.

  • @HeavyMelonFtW Except for the fact that the Byzantine Empire was entirely Hellenistic by the year 600. Constantinople was about as Greek as it went. Considering the fact that Ancient Roman culture was initially, and heavily, influenced by Greek culture, the re-hellenization of the Eastern Roman Empire made it both De Facto Greek and eventually Greek De Jure.

  • @grimakis ellinas eimai kai kserw oloi tin istoria mas.H polh htan xristianikh alla oxi ellinikh.Asxeta apo to poso epeirease tin polh o ellinismos.Kai i agglia epeirastika apo ton indiko politismo alla den mporeis na peis oti h agglia eprepe na anikei stin india.

  • @grimakis i have one very bad news for you, you can't never can get Constantinople back

  • @elmas04 In fact WE ARE NOT going to take Constantinoupoli back ... It will simply be handed to us by the Russians...& by the way this is a GREEK coffee!

  • @grimakis I guess you were bothered that Greeks disembogued in 1922 by Turks. If you knew what ethic is maybe you wouldn't attack "at the same time" with England, Russia,France,Italy etc. against Turkey.Turks always loved enemies who were moral;however that is not definitely you.

  • ha ha ha ha, you poor guys, this is Turkish coffee, google it, wikipedia or whatever you do, you are loosers,

  • @kanka24 The word 'loosers' doesn't make sense in this context. Learn to write properly before insulting people. Turkish coffee was originally drank in Yemen, and was brought to the Ottoman Empire by Syrians, who opened the first coffee houses. A lot of Turks on youtube assume everything in their culture is original, when in fact most of it has been adopted from neighbouring peoples. Mainly the Persian and Arabic people, but also from various regions of the Balkans.

  • @JHMichaels so baklava is yours, cacik not tazicki is yours, kadayif is yours not kadayifi, doner is yours not gyros, kofte is yours, everything is yours and adopted to us right? You all learned this food from Ottoman Empire, now selling in Usa like Greek, because they are so stupid and dont know anything about history and geography.

  • StammyHD so your Mom is greek and YOU were born in the U.S. ?

  • @evelynacandy Thank you for the reply,I'm really interested in different tastes,I guess the Greek one is less bitter and the rest is the same...

  • I'm a Turkish from Biga(Pegai)/Çanakkale and I've been drinking the same coffee(I think) for 22 years,as Turkish coffee. Can someone explain me the exact difference between two coffees?(I'm asking friendly, just to learn)

  • @iyagizuysal the ingredients (of the coffee in powder) are slightly different but the preparation is the same.

  • @iyagizuysal No difference, we just call it Greek and sometimes Turkish, thats all

  • einai kaneis ellinas apo edw??????

  • @petroslol7 εγώ :P

  • @TeRrOrBlAdEgr YOU THE ONE WHO START THIS SLANG LANGUAGE !!!! SHAME ON YOU !!! STRANGE MAN !!!!!

  • Fantastic, thank you!

  • Turkish and Greek coffee are not the same exact thing you retard. I am a coffee enthusiast. Greek coffee is like Turkish coffee, except it's a bit naturally sweeter, it can have slightly different taste, and it tastes horrible when you put the Turkish coffee spice in it. Also they are made differently, Greek coffee doesn't foam easily in a Turkish coffee pot, and requires a pot that looks more like a butter heater than a narrow top Turkish coffee pot...Turkish coffee won't foam in these pots.

  • You should make more videos with her!

  • your mom is adorable

  • :) oreo video :) ekane i kiria :)

  • Ekastos sto eidos tou kai o loumidis stous kafedes!!

  • I need help please. When I make this coffee I get the foam... but once I pour it in the glass and wait for it to cool down enough to not burn my tongue... the foam evaporates! How do I keep the foam in the cup?

  • @annaknowsu the right way is not to put the coffee in a glass but in a coffee pot. Normal you wont have any problem. But if you want to cool it fast put some cold water it works always.

  • greek coffee is less roasted...it's more blonde....not so dark - mavro as turkish..

  • greek coffee is less roasted...it's more blonde....not so dark - mavro as turkish..

  • It's just a coffee))))) But it's very good coffee))

  • GREEK coffee the best !!

  • war is onnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!! i it is turkish coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, zuhahahahahahahaahzhzhzhzhahaahahahaha

  • Its so weird, you find the most random arguments on the most random youtube videos. This could've been a vid of a kitten playing with yarn and there would be some sort of argument on here. BTW, LOVE Greek coffee, I was always curious how this was made. Thanks!

  • Loumidis (ΛΟΥΜΙΔΗΣ) , hahahahaha, a very popular greek coffee trend

  • Dont tell me you read that in your school book as well... Do you know what is Anatolian? Actually you have to trace your ancestor in the mongolian steppes go and do some DNA test first, you will see! You came in Minor Asia not before 1000 AD by killing of course that is your only contribution in Humanity and the unique tortures to all people around you. I think all these things you are saying reveal one and only thing you are crypto fascist isnt it?

  • @erdal0 first go to school then educate yourself then come out from your little mind state box then feed your country and the poor ppl then do politics smartass

  • @hel1nas wtf are you talking about? fix your economy and get credibility from us.

  • @erdal0 wtf are you living in the WOnderland of alice wake up little this is not only for Greece but for the united Currecy smart ass, Just believe what the news are saying and you will get "Wiser"

  • @hel1nas you greeks never look at yourself.. Always the fault of others.. It doesnt matter with a couple of decades Greece and fake greeks that live there will be the slaves of EU and Turkey.

  • @erdal0 leave the generalities speak for yourself, do you know all the Greeks eh?? since when??

Slaves will become all and you know its more about money, but I will not try to convice you will see yourseld in a couple years until then enjoy yourself malaka

  • @hel1nas We will take revenge what you did in WW1.. you think EU is your friend but EU fked you guys in the ass.

  • @erdal0 why you confirm to me how dum you are? Politics is not about who is bad or good!!!! WAKE UP!!! Should I revenge you for killing my grandfathers??? because my family did not kill anyone of yours.

  • @hel1nas Greeks conquered Anatolians and made Trojans greek and then killed them later on. We took Istanbul to take revenge for troy. For WW1 we are going to take your Islands and make you economical slaves.

  • @erdal0 You were you are always be mongolian and barbarian you have relationship with trojans!!! Trojans were Hellenic origin so if you think that you originated from trojans you are smokinf to much weed or playing to much your willy !!!!

  • @hel1nas Trojans were conquered by Greeks and made greeks. Turks don't look mogolian.. Most turks are Nativa Anatolian. So we see Trojan as a part of us. The Greeks for that matter are fake greeks, they are not linked to ancient greeks. Nowaday Greeks are gypsies, slavs, etc.

  • @erdal0 You're not as smart as you think you are. The Ancient Greeks were a combination of native Balkan peoples and Anatolians, and perhaps other peoples of the Near East. Greeks, Persians, and Anatolians had been trading and mixing for thousands of years before the arrival of Turkic tribes. The truth is, the population of Western Turkey is more Greek than they care to believe, and also have DNA from other parts of the Balkans.

  • Howdy howdy... i never saw this type of coffee in Turkey but i saw it in Greece including CY. In turkey almost all people is drinking tea. That's what i saw as a tourist. It's a type of a S East coffee with roots in middle East.. so please stop fighting over stupit things and just ENJOY the coffee :-)

  • Beloved Greeks and Turks, please keep it at a standstill for a coffee demonstration.

  • turkish, otoman, greek... Here in colombia it's called "Tinto" :P

  • I loooooooooooooove GREEK coffee..yummy!!

  • Since when is this Greek coffee? Greeks talk always shit about the Turks but then they steel our culture.

  • Perfect demonstration.. thank you

  • greek moms are THE BEST !

  • Ah I don't know for sure if there is a difference between making Turkish and Greek coffee , but what I definitely know is that Bosnian coffee is better than any of these!

  • wtf is a greek coffee? seriously. greek delight, greek coffee..

  • The lady is putting on clinic.

  • there is nothing called greek coffee, greeks starrted calling Turkish coffee 'Greek' after Turkey stopped rabid dogs in Cyprus

  • this is arab coffee i'm from Middle East and i mead this coffee all day

  • @jefnawe when the Turkish people controlled our land (the ottman time) they took many Arabian customs with the them such as Arabian coffee , and Ice cream.

  • its turkish coffee u idiot

  • @jacksuly

    Its Greek coffee you Mongol....

  • @AleksandrosBr You dumbass, its Turkish coffee your people worship faggots named after planets.

  • @009jorge1 no retard....

  • I think there's gonna have to be a UN interventionalist action to call it 'Mediterranean coffee' if this goes on much longer >.>

  • @InnuendoXP

What you see in this video is Turkish coffee without any variation at all! Let alone the used tool is not greek:

    ' Ebriki ' < turk. İbrik <arab. İbriik <Old pers. Aabreek (aab = water + reextan/rez=to pour)

  • "Mediterranean coffee"? This is as stupid as "Greek coffee"!

Italians do have their own coffee, as do French and Austrians people and there is no such a thing called "European coffee"! We Turks recieved our coffee from Arabs/Ethiopia, but we cultivated the technique of preparation and culture of consumation of it. It's a widely accepted fact that we Turks builded the 1st public coffee-house in history in Ottoman era! (just wiki it!)

  • @minzblatt

Call it Ottoman coffee then, yeesh! Turkey wasn't Turkey in those days. How is it as-stupid? it's an overall region rather than a single nationality staking a claim. First coffee-house maybe. But who's to say it wasn't done in home kitchens for a generation or more before it was made into an enterprise?

Besides, all foods in the world are a result of trade and exchange of ideas. Many of the spices the middle east loves wouldn't exist in their food if it weren't for the spice trade.

  • @InnuendoXP

'Ottoman Coffee'? I'm fine with that term! Because it also refers to an ERA not to some friggin VAST REGION which was good for nothing most of the time.

What matters here is not Coffee as in terms of a raw material/aggr. commodity! The same with spices, vegetables, fruits or anything what God gave to humankind. It's the product of man, the manufacture, the cultivation that does matter.

And if there is something originated in turkish cuisine, it shall be recognized as such!

  • @minzblatt Actually Italians claim to have built it, not Turks. And yes Mediterranean coffee, because the Iranians claim that the Turks stole their coffee...

  • Greek coffee? What's that?? xD aahh those Greeks will not stop stealing from Turks...

  • this is truly TURKISH COFFEE... not greek.Greeks lived in Ottoman empire and they stole many turkısh foods (with turkish names and they don't change turkısh food names) Don't believe their liers...

  • Greek and Turkish Coffee are exactly the same thing. Simply being under 400 years under the Othoman Empire naturally cultural elements from Turks were intergrated into the Greek Culture.

No need for our Turkish friends to feel like we stole their coffee. They brought it to our culture alongisde, with the rapes, murders, and other horrendus actions.

  • @QuickD34th like?

  • @QuickD34th when you say our Turkish friend, are you believe to yourself ? If we are friend why you blame us with rapes, murders and other things..When Ottomans took the control of Greek, didnt Sultan say "Everybody is free to live their culture, religion and so on"..He said that "Nobody will be come near to Greek or Bosnian girls, when they are going in the center"

If you say that "We are sharing some culture, we integrated to each other" OK im totally joining you..But dont blame us with thay !

  • @QuickD34th We will never forget what the Greeks did to the Trojans!

  • @erdal0 get over yourself and go to school again

  • @hel1nas get your economy straight dirty arab greek

  • @erdal0 Arab? You Turks look arabic too haha. You and Greeks are blood brothers retards.

  • @SirGeorge8600 no, greeks are gypsy ethiopian and they look arab mostly

  • @erdal0 they look Turkish you retard not African. Who did they live under and mix with for 600+ Years? What about the population exchanges that even the Turkish government confirms? Does the Greek person in the video look African or Turkish? If you say African then you are a blind idiot. Besides in your other comment you said Greeks are not ancient because they are slavic people...so you clearly don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Greece and Turkey have the highest rates of J2 genes.

  • @SirGeorge8600 what the fuck is J2? I'm not a fking nerd like you. talk human language.

  • @erdal0 J2 is Anatolian genes.

  • @QuickD34th LOL Exactly :D

  • @QuickD34th no greek coffe is a bit diferent i am from greece and i know it

  • I make mine milked based, but it is good!!!

I like the reddish finely ground coffee.

  • Βλάκες, τούτος ο καφές είναι Τουρκικόςςςςςς

    Fools, this is Turkish coffee...

  • And do not forget, coffee was brought to the Turks by the Arabs, to whom it was given in turn by the Ethiopians! So blacks were the first to make coffee...LOL.

  • @DieserBenuterIstCool den einai ellinikos einai toutkikos :(

  • I'm from Greece and I can officially say that this is the original Turkish Coffee but we also make it in Greece for the past hundred years I suppose. That's for missunderstanding purposes.

  • Its called Turkish coffee...

  • sorry grandma but what you are doing is turkish coffe you call it greek coffee becouse in the ww1 greece learn everything (copy ) from TURKEY

  • The coffee looks good.. but this is called Turkish coffee.

  • nice video. Efharisto.

  • @6663000 Yeah yeah... I think it's a wonderful turkish coffee which is greek from brazil ! ;-) I wish this could be our only problem! cok optum!

  • Den i3era oti bazoune zaxari prin na to zestanoun.. xD, prosopika eimai fan tou frape. :P

  • i have the same cups :D

  • It looks delicious! I do have one of that "coffee boiler" :) My coffee is from Cyprus. It's called XAPAAamiioye (the e looks like a 3) =)

Thanks to your mother I learned how to make! THUMBS UP!

  • it is called Turkish Coffee.

  • @joevitti they started calling it "Greek coffee" after Turkish intervention to Cyprus. More disturbing thing is to see ordinary people following these kind of nationalist childishness.

  • @utkua we have pots and other things to cook, 4000 years ago, visit acropolis museum so you can see... Way before your grandfathers came from Mongolia. No offence but do your lesson before you talk. Coffee isn't Turkish or Greek.

  • @Funkonami1 you are delusional, read something that was not written by some ultranationalist Greek, I mean it, anything about coffee. My anchestors did not come from mongolia; they were always here and establishing first states while greeks were bunch of hunter gatherers.

  • i ve said no offense ;)

  • Same problem... can't get the "foam".

I'm using Loumidis. Maybe not enough coffee? I'm using 1 heaping teaspoon per small cup.

  • I'm using Najjar classic grounded coffee and when I follow the steps i can't seem to get any foam at all. Am I using the wrong type of coffee?

  • I'm proud to be Greek!

  • 1 cup of water for every cup of coffee you're making same with the teaspoons of coffe and sugar

great vid my pappou taught me how to make it and now I drink it all of the time

  • Now this is an excellent video. Congrats to ur mom!

    Happy Easter from Athens

  • Wow.

I love that technique, thanks Stammy's mom! Thanks for the coffee link too, I think I might have to try some out.

    Jah bless!

    Mike
