  • Does anyone else realize that this is the song that "We Speak No Americano" came from? Look up the song. This is it.

  • the Brian Setzer Orchestra has a fantastic version of this in English, but the Puppini sisters ROCK.

  • Isn't this the song sung by Sophia Loren during the nightclub scene in one of my favorite movies "It Happened in Naples"?

  • @batucada358 Correct

  • love the puppini sisters

  • loveeee

  • The View became briefly watchable for me. Amazing. =O

  • Ooooo I didnt know they had accents! How cool!!

  • THE PUPPINI SISTERS should definitely come to Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA eh i would love to see their show, but i am also a tad bit jealous at their vocal ability..is anyone else?

  • The Puppini Sisters are wonderful. The View.....isn't.

  • oh yes.

    lol so agreed

  • This is really hard to understand, it's not really Italian, it's neapolitan

  • It's actually one of the most famous Neapolitan songs in the world. Sophia Loren has done it, as has Jude Law and Matt Damon in Mr Ripley. You don't have to understand the dialect to know it's a good song.

  • @adamtheamazin90

the text of this song is basically a joke of an italian guy who wants to imitate american habits, in what he wears, the sport he plays, the cigarettes he smokes....just because it's cool.

so it says: you want to be american, but you were born in Italy; you want to be trendy, but if you drink whisky and soda, then you'll have stomachache, you dance rock&roll, you play baseball, but the money you need for cigarettes you get it from your mother's wallet...

  • Puppini's ROCK!!! They are soooo unbelievably GREAT!!

Maybe record companies should push this stuff instead of all that hip-hop crap!

  • @frankenshank

There are record companies that "push" this and there are record companies that "push" hip hop. There's room for both.

  • It's sad that this kind of redoubtable talent has to be shared with, and judged by, the general hillbilly public. Yes, I mean you, Jethro. Don't dare disrespect this level of talent, world. This video should have an intelligence "breathalizer" attached so that dummies can't view (and comment on) it. GO GO GO and GO some more Puppinis...!!!! ! You're FANTASTIC.

  • ya know what? I consider myself very hillbilly, and I completely LOVE the Puppini Sisters! I am from East Tennessee, and I think what they are doing is awesome! So take your uppity attitude and shove it! You could use a little bit of hillbilly in your demeanor! Maybe you meant redneck? To the Puppini Sisters, would you come to East Tennessee, I would love to see a whole show of you gals! Keep up the great work! LOVE YA!

  • I'm with TheRockstar1966. I grew up in South Ga (an hour south of Savannah) in a trailer park, listening to country. But I absolutely adore the Puppini sisters.

Think next time you speak. Just because someone doesn't like the same style of music as you, that doesn't make them a hillbilly. Grow up, dude.

  • They are just greaaatttt!!!!

  • God Bless Women!!!!!!!

  • cute love it

  • miticheeeeeee!

  • That is completely untrue! I just saw them live (and had the pleasure of meeting them afterwards!) and not only was their show technically and vocally superb, they were funny, genuine and totally sweet and adorable. You don't know what you are talking about mufasamusic!!!!

  • Sounds like sour grapes. Frustrated musician?

    I saw your video.

  • Right on! I went and checked his video, too! But, he's obviously trying hard and deserves a little credit for the hours he's put in - it's very easy to hate people like him for senseless lashing out.

  • Ok, I admit I was being sarcastic when I said he deserves anything other than pity.

  • shut up

  • The Algonquin Hotel is a great venue for female singers, torch singers.

  • I love the Puppini Sisters. They are such a swingin' group. And every song on their album is incredible

  • uauauiuoua very good!

  • Great CD, great performance... can't wait for more!

  • So much fun! ^.^

  • So divine!

  • These ladies ROCK! I recommend the cd "Betcha Bottom Dollar".

  • Their harmonies are amazing!!!
