  • mis u uncle howie u r the best and ur music will be in the history books 4eva......RIP

  • I was Born & Bred in Wales. As most of you, following this link, will probably know, that like New Zealand, Wales has a history steeped in "Sheep Farming" and "Beautiful Singing".

This man, Sir Howard Morrison, is, in my estimation, worthy of singing alongside or in front of, any Welsh Choir.

A superb performance from a great performer.

Long May He Rest In Peace.

    God Bless him.

  • The best ever version!! SING ON HOWARD" how great thou art.

  • Always a Gem RIP Howie the Maori

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • You know its a good song when it sends chills down the back of ur neck. Ive listened to 4 versions of this song before this one.....none have nearly the same effect!

I know why he passed, God wanted to have him sing in heaven. Beautiful.

  • he is too dead to be famous

  • E te kaihanga ka tuku whakamoemiti kia koe mo tenei ra, nau ra te rangi me te whenua me o raua wahanga katoa i homai kia whai oranga ai matou, nau te honore, nau te kororia, tenei te tuku whakawhetai kia koe. Amine.

  • you can't beat this

  • u can fill in the blanks yourself

  • Fond memories of a great artist. I played keyboards for Sir Howard on his New Zealand tour when he was Television New Zealand's Entertainer of the Year in 1982. He always filled the stage with his charismatic personality and fine performances, before large and devoted audiences the length and breadth of the country. Always quick with the quips, Howard dubbed me the "albino Maori" as the only Pakeha in his otherwise all Maori band. Rest in Peace Howard.

  • Thank you for this posting - I love it

Love an ex Kiwi in Perth!!!!

  • rest in peace unci howard

  • Undoubtably new zealands greatest entertainer..R.I.P Sir Howard..

  • Would love to hear him sing it in Maori!

  • Sir Howard Morrison was one of the most memorable singers in New Zealand, his quartet was equally outstanding, and they all enriched the lives of Kiwis, a great loss....Leopold in UK

  • Being an Atheistic heavy metal fan I don't mind admitting that Sir Howard certainly knew how to belt out a song.

  • could you envisage a punk version of it? Or, would you rather stick with morbid funeral idea?

  • @Guevaristas

    both

  • the best singer! rest in peace man

  • There are few sights that you can go to - where there is nothing derogatory said about the artist - this is one - is that a measure of greatness and passion or what....Kia Kaha Sir Howard..and I never use monarchial titles - but this great man has more than eanrt it.
