This song got me in trouble in an English Lit class in college. We were assigned to take a song and treat it like a poem and analyze it for beat, rhyme and meter as well as describing what the author was saying. I chose "Bad Man's Blunder." My prof told me to sit down...it was obvious I hadn't taken the assignment seriously. What could I say? I hadn't -- but it was worth it.
@Moishe3rd well u make em listen to it when they're young and you dont give em another option. thats how my parents did it. Now i listen to Death Metal but i still love the Kingston Trio.
BTW, I think that Dave Guard was extremely good looking! I just wonder if he was sort of embarrased by the others since they didn't know how to read music well.
Thank you! I am very into the trio! My mom played them on cassette a couple times, and I was hooked from the youngest age. I then took her vinyl records, and tapes, and she didn't get to hear them anymore! HA That was back in the mid-late eighties, as I am 27.
@hmd420 It is most definitely the original Trio, from their album "String Along." To the best of my knowledge the Stewart Trio never performed this song - or at the very least never recorded it.
..LOL..jail is where I always ended up..when I was broke..no idea why the correlation..this poor bastard got 99 years..onthe hard rock pile..I got 2 weeks in the Taj Mahal..several times..LOL..
