I think it gives the impression that light is getting deflected in nearly complementary conventionally-distorting/unconventionally-antidistorting ways, as if there is concentrically-cyclic spherical lensing and interference between sources. The fuzzy white foreground galaxy, lower left at 0:43, seems to relay forward a more-distant lensing configuration involving the yellower fuzzy galaxies including similar relaying effects originating from them.
