Many Cubans sadly suffer from alcoholism and it became apparent to me why. The sadness and utter sense of hopelessness is overwhelming. Watch any video here about Cuban hospitals and you will see for yourself. YES, the hospitals there are that run-down and lacking. I remember running into a friend in Habana one day and he ran up to me giddy with joy and proceeded to say that he married a girl from Slovenia and would be leaving Cuba for good in one week, to join her in Slovenia.

This embargo needs to end soon because the Cubans have suffered many years of a stagnant economy with no development. Denying a country to trade with others is horrible. You Americans, imagine that your trade with China and Mexico was embargoed, will your country develop? Well an embargo to Cuba-USA trade does affect Cuba that much actually. 47 years prove that the Cuban Embargo didn't achieve anything.
We are doing business with China, so why not Cuba. Because of our trade with China we have an open dialogue line with their government.
Human Rights Changes may be slow yes ... BUT moving forward. It's better than no dialogue at all.
