@sillehflowerzz There are a lof of royalty free music sites aound, I use mainly freeplaymusic and Jamendo. They ahve some awesome stuff :) For sound FX, pacdv has a few there.

@fr801 Thanks :) It can be very difficult using voices, the quality can be poor due to microphones (I got a way better one later on). It was the first time for me, doing voice acting and machinima, so that's really awesome :)

@CelesteStorywriter The videocamera.ini file can be found in Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/GameDate/Shared/NonPackaged/­Ini/ - or it may be in the Programs (x86) folder. Depending on your computer OS and settings you may not be able to edit it directly. Just copy and paste it somewhere you have full access to, then edit it and copy and paste it back into the original folder. Hope that helps :)

@mattnashisgay LN would have been awesome then I agree. The series isn't really about vampires though, although they make an appearance way later on. The expansion packs are really cool though, and add a new dimension to storytelling and machinima :)

@KarinaSProductions Thanks :) It's so cool you're enjoying the series. I don't use any camera mods, instead I edited the videocamera.ini file. The default speeds are way too fast. I changed in the speed section Move to 0.2, movevertical to 0.2, pitch to 0.0009, yaw to 0.0009 and in miscellaneous the lerpduration to 15 (this controls the time it takes for the tab camera to move from point A to point B). Hope that helps. Good luck with your series :)

@KarinaSProductions I use Nraas Debug enabler to make them talk at a distance. I'll be using the new Animation player too to trigger the talk animations. I've used the moveobjects trick too at times. With the seated ones I just make the sims talk in game. Hope that helps :)

@Twilightbooksrockman Sorry about that. The voice sounds a bit low on some systems, compared to the music. I had to use a lot of noise reduction so it sounds muffled. We used a much better mic later on though, so the voices are a lot clearer.

@Angel48rules Machinima is basically using 3d game engines and other software to make movies. It's way cheaper and easier to do this than using a studio with real actors, so we can see our stories come to life visually. It's not just based on the sims, any game engine or 3d software can be used to make machinima. Hope that helps :)

@Gold3476 For these early episodes I just used WMM as the video editor, but occasionally used Sony Vegas too. Later on when I had enough disk space I started using only Vegas and filmed uncompressed. The game has an in-built video recorder which is very cool. There aren't any expansions used in these first episodes as they weren't any released then, but I now use WA, Ambitions and LN. Hope that helps :)

@shairand The best thing I'd recommend if you wanna make a series is to check out some tutorials, especially here on youtube. There are some good ones which explain about camera control and filming using Sims3 game engine. Research is always useful and will help. And you do actually need the game if you want to make machinima with it.

@mgrsmovies To do this you need to use a video editing program like Vegas, or WMM, and audio software, for instance Audacity. use Audacity to record the voices, and Vegas to add the voice audio files, any music files and video footage. Once edited, render to a format youtube accepts, for instance wmv. Hope that helps.

Initially I wasn't sure if this would work, as I've never attempted machinima before, but it's so much fun, having characters and plotlines coming to life visually. @shamwow56 It is me voice acting. There was a lot of noise in the audio file, especially in the early episodes so I had to use heavy noise reduction which often gives a strange, almost robotic effect. The later episodes have minimal noise reduction applied though.
