you really improved your filming techniques. the image is clear, stable, and the girls are beautiful! I like this shopping street and the DHC girls are very funny with their uniforms!
Have you heard about Greenpeace who wanted to test the water but the government bloqued them ?
thanks again for your podcast and keep up the good work ;)
Thanks much. Many of the shots this week were stationary, which means I could steady the camera on a monopod. Took a walk in the park today, so next video may be a bit shakier.
Did not hear about Greenpeace. But I am not surprised. Greenpeace is not very popular among J-government officials.
This week's video was shot in Canal City (circus, Moomin shop, T-shirts), downtown Tenjin (street scenes), Nakasu (food stalls), and at another shopping mall (can't remember the name).
Wow, tons of great info in this episode! One of my favorite parts was about the elections. They are really loud like that in Korea, too. That guy faces some pretty harsh penalties. I hope he gets off easy. After all, he didn't really do any harm. Thanks for another great episode!
Thanks! I really wonder if all the screaming actually wins any votes. If I were a voter, I think I would most likely vote AGAINST anyone making so much noise.
During the U.S. Occupation, Japan observed DST (from 1948 to 1951). They chucked it almost immediately after the Occupation ended, because people complained it disrupted their sleep. Also, workers complained that it was used to make them work longer hours. (Knowing how Japanese companies think, I would say this is probably a pretty valid concern.)
@NikkeinJapan That's my sentiment this week as well (again). People in power realizing there's no consequences to what they do or don't do and handling things accordingly.
On a more positive note, it's great to see the differing personal fashion styles of people on the street. Lots of high-heeled shoes worn by women, especially the two handing out those fliers. Also got a kick out of the one guy who noticed the camera and mugged for it :)
@97North also, i just helped Kevin hit the $2k mark. Everyone needs to give what they can. If not a cash donation how about a thumbs up or a subscription to Ed's, or Kevin's Youtube channels.
Thanks for this great information!

24:00 Sounds like someone is desperate holding on to his chair.
I hope we could bring this issue to an International Court of Justice to be over with.

Where ever that is in Fukuoka, must be a popular spot for young people.

As always, great information :)
It seems strange that you can just stop DST.

Now I had always thought that the term gaijin was kinda derogatory, but with how much you use it, its not?
I mean, I know what it means. I just thought it was used more in an insulting manor.

I tend not to keep up with the latest trends in PC behavior. To me, "gaijin" is just a word.

@japundit I can't say I'd be very versed in another countries PC language lol.

@MyassWins What's the old joke....? I don't care what you call me, as long as it is not late for dinner.
