I have a compaq presario C500 series EA model and I've had it for about five or maybe four years and honestly I got sick of it about two years ago I'm getting a Sony VAIO E series 15'', do you think it's a good choice? I'm getting it wether or not you do I'm just asking your opinion.

Decent laptop, but having troubles with the sound driver and battery. I've no viruses, and the pc didn't fall or something like that. The battery is empty within half an hour...

i have the compaq presario cq56 it is like the exact same but its not glossy which is good for no fingerprints its all just flat black but all around its a great laptop

if you buy it on the hp website, you can get the extra stuff like a webcam and other stuff you said it doesnt have, but my custom version does

@jbrigman13 This is a great standard laptop. If u are looking for a good one to start off, this is it. Although, the CQ 62 is now out.

@zacheryds The only gripe I have with the net on this PC is that the internal wifi has a small range. Otherwise, no issues.

@Slim74KA probably not. this is a pretty run-of-the mill laptop.

@AphroditesCrush It probably could. I had a really cheap hp laptop I got in 2004. It could run counter strike pretty well and that was a terrible lap top.

@miamiheatnba1 I have the 250gb, I think thats all there is as far as options, but to be honest, I would go ahead and still get the 250, just on value alone. The laptop itself is only 50 bucks more than what u would pay for a netbook.
