First off, a big thankyou for upload these amazing videos. The tutorials are great, by far the best I have seen on Youtube. And believe me, I have watched a lot of tutorials.
You actually take the time to explain every single move, step by step, so that anyone with any patience can learn. I have only stumbled across these video tonight and have already grasped the first 9 moves.
Well done. I have everything to host my own cockatil party except the skills. Thanks to you, that will change!
you're nuts! aha, you've probably been asked this, but where are you from?? i live in ontario and theres never any bartenders that do crazy things like this.. they're all so boooorrrinngg
Tell ya what, I watched a few others try to teach some of these tricks and I have to say, this guy is by far the best teacher I have found on youtube so far. Great job man and thanks alot you helped me increase my tips!! I recomend MangoMyers to anyone wanting to learn flair tricks.
you are so good i did this to a party and they gave me money for my tricks and thanks tou you cause if you havent put videos i wouldnt have now 158 euros !!! sorry for my english i am from greece !!!!!!!!!!!! xD
There is no good substitute for what costs 30Euros at the most online. But since you asked. Gran any round shaped bottle of desired size with thick sides and a thick bottom. Prefferably a little smaller in width than normal bottles. For some reasons i've found Rum bottles to usually be in this format compared to others. Take your time to slowly and perfectly cover it in 4-5 layers of silvertape to form an even surface. Or fill a plastic bottle completely to the top
Awesome just awesome. You do such a good job explaining and walking us through that it would be hard not to want to try it. I have been bartending for a year now and weather or not your going to use flair on your job it is a GREAT spot on your resume. Even if you work at a shitty dive bar if you can pull off one or 2 impressive moves it shows a little more commitment and gives you a step up over the next guy going for the same position. Thanks for the awesome videos Mango you rock.
I love your videos, i don't understand English, but i can do as you show. wishing you have The Good Health and have many videos for anyone love flair bartending. DuongBichHa.
okay for one you are amaizingly hot! and two that is way cool and three i want to be a bartender but now i want to do it more i want to be able to do that lol its cool as...maybe i can meet a hottie like you ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :)
I have to say bro you are worth a comment. I've only been flairing for a little while and your videos are amazing. Thank you for the instruction and inspiration. Simple and awesome. Make your own website and sell merch. Ill buy.
Hey, I'm just wondering what size the pourer your using on your bottles at work? I'm in the UK and I think if I poured out of the bottles at work for that long I would get about a quarter of a pint... :/ Or maybe I am just imagining that...
@gamesmad Hehe, great question. I'm using a Spil-Stop 285-50. It's my favorite for a most consistent, steady pour. Obviously, I'm doing the trick slower during the tutorial, but once you get comfortable with this move, you should be able to perform it and only pour about an ounce, maybe 1.25 oz, perfect for most drinks.
@gamesmad I also work in the uk and wish I could do some of this flairing but would never get away with it at work because there no legal measuring!,Looks fantastic though
Flairtending is beautiful.. bartending is all about the show and having a pro do ur drink.. so on the same thinking.. why dont u just buy the liquor you like and just stay drinking at home.. if u wanna be left alone... rlyy
There are multiple clubs that hire flair bartenders. They actively seek out flair to add a special touch and grab customers eyes. Anyone who flairs at work knows when it is acceptable, and when it is not. 4 deep, it is straight pour time but as a flair bartender, if you have the time, flair is a great way to show that you are a professional and care about your trade enough to take the time to go above and beyond the status quo.
@Bump2Break Great comment. I agree with almost everything that you said. However, I've always taught my bartenders to master flair moves that won't slow you down while you work. Nothing worse than having folks waiting while a bartender is standing there flipping (that has a negative effect on everyone's bottom line). But there are MANY moves that can be performed without missing a beat...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well im kinda having a hard time to make an argument in my third language but in the electro-scene where i work noone wants to see some douche behind the bar doing gay ass tricks! they want to get their drink afap and enjoy the music/atmosphere and the party itsself! this might bring u more customers when ur aimed customer is 45 and is at no point involved with the clubbing scene...
still well done video but for me this got nothing to do with serious bartending this is simply some juggling trick
I've been called a lot worse than a gay ass douche...
Maybe it's cuz I often get distracted by shiny things, but I love watching good flair bartenders. Anyone can make a rum & coke; entertaining my pants off while you're doing it makes me want to come back and spend more (which is what my customers do each week.) And it's not just Americans - it's popular in London, Macau, Tokyo, Seoul, etc. Check out the FBA - half their membership is outside the US. Of course, they're not serious bartenders:)
niggolai, you wouldnt find people flaring in a night club wud you....
guys like this work in proper cocktail bars that are aimed at entertainment and great tasting cocktails, so people go in knowing what there gonna get. in no way aimed at 45 year olds thats just a ridiculous statement.
dont comment when you've got no idea, no need to hate. this guy has skills - big up respect for Mango Myers! been watching your videos since you started man, love em. good work. and keep it up.
This move takes as much time as someone just pouring 1 1/2 oz. If you work at a bar that discourages flair, then you're right, no one wants to see it. But if you are a flair bartender you probably wouldn't work in the electro-scene now would you. Maybe it is the language barrier for your 3rd language that makes you come off like such an ass, but honestly, if you don't like it don't watch.
@niggolai why are you watching this than... you obviously enjoy it enough to find out the 14th video in his segment. It actually works less on 45 year olds than it does 25 year olds because when entertaining older guests you run the risk of getting that one alcoholic that wants his drink and wants to be left alone.
@niggolai haha in USA ppl want a show, they go to vegas they want entertainment, and with tips being primary source of income, the more show u have, the more money u get too, also sum places charge INSANE amounts for cocktails and even standard mixes, so the whole flair thing is just as an extra skill for sum extra cash i guess, that and i guess its pretty fun.
i dont get why u americans are so into flair tending! This is simply some eyecatcher for tourists so they give u better tips! But in any cool club or bar u would simply get laughed at for doing stuff like that or at least they would think of u as some dumb showoff!
And where i work i get paid by the money i make.. so if it takes me 2 mins to get 1 fucking drink done i earn less! I think flairtending belongs to las vegas or some hotel on hawaii!
flair bartending isnt stupid if u work in a bar/club u bring in more customers that way and plus ur not slow pouring, its all about speed and performance.u can do a massive rally of orders and put on a show at the same time.
And btw every cool club/bar i know has flair in it so it doesnt add up.Its All about puttin on a show
Great instructional video man, nice and simple explanatiion everyone can understand. Too bad the video doesn't have a little more fps to see the full-motion moves better. 5 stars!
