@pfeitosa hi... this song is in fact written by simon le bon. he wrote this and two other tracks - which he refers to as his trilog (oridinary world, do you believe in shame?, and out of my mind). i think you meant to say the guitarist is of course warren cucurullo...who wrote the guitar string arrangement. but credit as lyrics by simon le bon.

In January 1994 I was on a plane to New York to attend the funeral of my brother who died from a long illness at the age of 37. I put on the airline earphones to distract myself as I couldn't proceed with writing the eulogy I was to give at the wake. This song was playing and tears just streamed down my face in grief. The song is so hauntingly beautiful but, it took me seventeen years before I could listen to it again. Now, I appreciate it as a truly masterful composition and video to match.
