I like how the camera man was like "its the wrong card" but i think i know how to do the trick. All the cards are probably double backed and he used a simple forceto get that card.

As already mentioned, the original vernon effect, as tipped by David Ben, included the use of a single douber facer (same card) and 51 double backers.
