I can make a template yeah. This exact one has sounds from refills so it won't work to share. But I will try to cook up a similar one and post on my website. =)
I have 3 new tracks I upload last week. Called 'Action', 'Mob' and 'Monster'. Not sure if any of these will make the album but I really like these beats.
Hip Hip album. Not even sure of the title yet. But a friend of mine who raps was in a real bad car accident about a year ago. He wasn't even supposed to live through it but he's back on this feet and ready to tell his story and more. Not sure of the title yet. Keep you posted and it should be done by this spring.
Never mind Mike. I figured it out. Just drag and drop from left to right. Too easy! Finally got my setup exactly the way I want to start out! Will be pumping out tracks left and right now. The best beats I have ever made happened because of organization from start to finish.
Yeah, I know what you mean. That's why my tracks sound better now than when I used Cubase. You can get total control of everything in Reason, the rack, the sequencer, the mixer. Using colors, placement, lanes etc. :P
@peakeleven Totally agree. I have used most DAW's myself but Reason has always been my first choice even though you couldn't record audio until Record came out. I have Logic too but I use that mostly for post production and mixing. Don't record too many vocals nowadays but did it a lot a couple years ago. I will be using Logic to mix and master the album I told you about. Can't wait because I have learned so much about mixing and things like that the past 2 or 3 years. Thanks again!
@peakeleven HIp Hop album. A little different from what is popular nowadays. It will be a motivational album that I think will appeal to a wide range of people. Positive messages in it that we hope will change lives!
Organization is a HUGE part of making good music and making more good music. I totally agree! Question.... I generally don't use as many devices as you do in Reason but I noticed how you had like 4 different racks? Does that happen automatically as you add more and more devices? In older versions of Reason I believe it just keep adding devices one under the other on one no matter how many you added. You were going from left to right with a different amount of devices in each rack. Cool!
Yeah, this was more a general tip of how organizing your template will create a better work flow. I might do a video on send effects and such later. =)
Won't work since I use sounds from special refills, sample cds etc. But I might do a clean template and put up on my website. If people are interested. =)
This video is about organization. I think organization is essential to become productive in any field. What do you think? Do you have any tips on organizing? Please share your views! =)
can you share a template file of this setup? please!
