I'm a Muslim, and I am still struck with awe when seeing footage of millions of bodies who move unison in their prayer to the Divine. Respect to all religions, but there is no form of worship of the salat. When you are a part of it, whether alone, or part of a multitude (esp. in Makkah and Madina), you feel your place in the immense created Universe, and yet you feel Allah's immenseness within your own soul.

That won't happen because Denzel is a very active christian, brought up from a protestant home and he devout his life nothing but to Jesus. His movies is what reflects his image that he chooses to do and glorify God, even the ones when he plays villians in. The recent film, The book of eli, should prove that he is a devouted christian, who worked, along with son on that script to display the truth of God, which is from the bible not the quran.

It's obvious that everything about the main current identiy of most African-Americans was forced upon them during slavery.

Everything from their mostly English names to their Christian faith so it's really surprising that so many Black people in America are so into Christiany considering the history and how their ancestors became Christians.

Just because you call yourself a religion doesn't mean you're part of that faith. Denzel does because he's done his research and believe christianity is the only way and that only through Jesus. What British and many countries did was to use it as an excuse. However, a lot of African-Americans became believers since they looked at themselves the same parallel of the story of Moses, where Egyptians punished Jews. Those English names are Jewish names. Don't confuse the two.
