how do i find out about what lenght of chain that i need

@desmosedicimeccanica : your owner's manual or count the length of your current chain. The easiest way to count a chain is to count the side-plates and then multiply by 2 to get the number of pins (or "links").

or could i just count links in my old chain and cut new one down the size? would that work?? oh, thank you for a fast response, its just letting do the meitnance for a professional technician on a duc become too expensive

great video but the only thing you didnt mention was how much chain to take off and if the wheel tensors have to be loose or thight or if the wheel have to be placed in the center of the tighting space

Hi AcidJazz, that level of instruction would mean to me that you are seeking a more fundamental level of education. Perhaps you can apprentice at a local shop to see it for yourself a few times?

That lube is carcinogenic always wear latex or simalar gloves when working with it.

thank you very much! I was trying to replace my cam chain on my cb350, but I felt like I needed an extra set of hands. Watched your vid and then used the cam sprocket as a work surface like you suggested to do with the rear drive sprocket. It worked perfectly!
