  • i did this to my Sega Master System II, 50Hz PAL Austrailian model, also With Alex Kidd in Miracle World built in, and it's awesome!

  • Master system french output rgb

  • hi! the german master system too, but the master system 2 does not.

  • rgb mod? I thought there was only a composite / s-video mod.

    Can you point me a tutorial please?

  • I want to play my SNES in RGB so bad!

  • the SNES has RGB - just go and buy an SNES (or modded Game Cube) RGB cable...

  • Yes, but I don't have a display capable of 15 kHz RGB.

  • why didn't the darn developers just speed up the games for Pal , so it's even to the Ntsc versions?

    Almost 20 god damn years games have been to slow in pal regions. It just makes me mad

  • Laziness - pure and simple, the modifications are fairly easy to do if you're familiar with electronics to a basic degree, so imagine how straight-forward it would be for the manufacturers themselves with access to all the technical details to optimise PAL machines on a hardware and software level.

    They could do it, but can't be bothered very often. I can count on one hand the amount of PAL computers and consoles I've owned since 1980 that were optimised properly for our TV standard.

  • Youre right, but PAL has more scanlines, higher resolution ( 720 x 576) and color Quality is better too, about sharpness, well, I can't see a real difference, but as PAL supports since over 20 years 60 Hz (just not all Tvs did before), Today every TV supports PAL 60. I really prefer PAL. About your frames per second, which is not a matter for analog Tv, because, as you know, Movies in Cinemas around the globe have just 24 frames! :)

  • The Problem is just, that Game-developers programmed for NTSC , which has less resolution, so that Games in PAL had this stupid bars. Why they put a slower Chip-set into their systems, its for me just unbelievable.

  • PAL60 has 480 visible scanlines

  • France RGB

  • PAL is better than fucking american NTSC standart!!!

    (no wonder, all from america isnt good^^)

  • tell me why eddy!

  • that wasn't me, i didn't log out when i was at his house and he didn't notice he was still logged in into my account

  • umm sega master system two? So it wasnt fast enough to run its games properly?

  • huh once you speeded up the console in 60 hz, the music key note is still the same nor faster.

    but i know once i speed up the nes in 60hz the key note of the music get's hicher.

    so how cut that be??????

  • the music speeds up in 60Hz - the pitch is the same. this should happen to your Alex Kidd too. I dont think the pitch is increased on other games on the Master System, but the speed should go up

  • Music term called Tranposition.

  • I have a question. I just fitted a 50/60hz switch on my megadrive and it works wonders. I'll also do the Master System as I get it back however most videos I've seen still show smaller borders in 60hz mode. Do you know if that's how a typical NTSC machine worked like?

  • NTSC -> faster

    PAL -> better picture

  • Better picture? Not really. When in PAL mode you get ugly horizontal borders, so you don't get any extra resolution out of it.

  • They don't get extra resolution, but they get RGB, which in the US is really hard to find a display that will accept a RGB signal.

  • could somone give me a link on how to do this mod please!!i cant seem to find much on the net

  • see the link at the end of the video ;)

    and i have done some Video Tutorials about the SNES and the Mega Drive - see them in mz Channel here.

  • yes! but this is what this 60Hz Mod is for - 60Hz in PAL ;)

  • huh????

  • Old games were pure crap in PAL. Horrible...
