Spring-Heeled Jack works better if depicted like The Shadowman from the mid-80's revival of The Twilight Zone. This here just looks like a high school drama exercise.

The book also mentions that the witnesses reported the incident to the police.Also the verdict at the inquest was "death by misadventure."

Even though some of the stories have been sensationalized by the media, something or someone (with superhuman abilities) was stalking the streets of London! If you have time to do resaerch you'll come across other similar oddities around the world. Charles Forts books would be a great place to start if your intersted. I believe there titled: Lo! and the other is the Damned.

I think there were a number of differing legend stories about Spring Heeled but this looks a good produced low budget type movie like a blair whitch project film. The corny aspect actually may work better than a hollywood blockbuster! Is it on dvd?

In the later years of the 18th century a strange person began to make himself known, he could appear from nowhere and dissapear just as quickly, and every time the police tried to catch him, he would jump away, to such heights that it was believed that he had springs in his boots hence 'spring heeled' jack was the name given by the newspapers, except for one small detail, spring heeled Jack never killed anyone, only gave them a fright or incapacitated them hope that helps pyro

indeed, that and the ability to 'vomit blue flames' on his victims, many got the impressions he was a demon from hell given human form, there were many suspects as to who he was some of the credible, but he disapeared as quickly as he came so no one know who he was, an intruiging mystery

he only killed once, but attacked loads of people, men and women.
there are 4 more famous attacks though. one on an 18 year old girl outside of her home. another one on another 18 year old girl on a street in london. a third attack on some british army guards outside of a barracks. and fourth famous one, is the only time he killed(only one that is suposedly acknowleged as being perpetrated by him anyway) when he threw a prostitute into a river/sewage stream and she drowned :(

shj was a liverpool legend not london and had nowt to do with the ripper.he was seen by over 100 people jumping over rooftops on hope street after police gave chase when he frightened (NOT KILLED)several people.the sightings spanned quite a few centurys...read a book called the livrpool collenade and it will tll u all about the weird fucker.
