the changing jenna to garet is awesome, but if you want to change the names of felix jenna sheba and peirs all you have to do is hit select three times before you confirm felix's name if you do it right you'll hear a tone and you can change their names.

Most of that wasn't done with codes. I went into VBA's memory viewer, and edited the values directly.

I can't give you any more exact locations for the sprites than 0x0203216C in battle, and 0x03002100 in towns/caves/e.t.c.

The value I edit to walk through stuff is at 0x0203230E.  Change it to 1 or 2 to walk over stuff, and back to 0 when you're done.

If you figured out how to change your own sprite, the NPC sprite data is right after it in memory.

Sprite data during battle starts at 0x0203216C.

Yeah I have, but because of the way they're stored it's kinda hard to match them to the palettes they're actually used with. Right now I have over 11,000 image files for tilesets because of that, I need to find a way to prune out the useless ones before I can upload them anywhere.

Unfortunately a lot of the battle sprites use an extra layer of compression that makes it a lot more difficult to swap them in, I haven't found a way around it yet.

Changing characters other than the player is really tricky, I did it by editing values manually in a memory viewer.  Making an actual code to swap a specific character with someone else would be way too much work if your code device even supported the commands to pull it off at all.

ALL my secrets, eh? I've been hacking the game quite a while, hoping to make an editor eventually. If you have specific requests I'll be happy to help, but I doubt I could fit it all in one message.

Battle sprites aren't as easy to swap as other sprites. Most have an extra layer of compression that makes it impossible to swap them in easily. There are a few exceptions, notably everyone in your party. Interestingly though, you can use non-battle sprites in battle & vice-versa.

Changing a non-player character's sprites is pretty tricky. I was actually using a memory viewer to edit values in memory while the game was running, writing an actual code to change a specific character into someone else would be way too much work.

I can only really give codes to swap battle sprites with Dullahan, anyone in your own party, and MAYBE a few other rare enemies that don't use that extra layer of compression (I'll have to check what they are)
