Thanks for taking this video at the brink of the campus' metamorphosis. I lived the first year of my studies in Longside Halls (at the beginning of the film) and I loved it. Watching this brings back many happy memories, but also highlights how incredibly better it looks now.
being at another uni now, looking back at bradford uni makes me so happy i left. i agree with many of the comments, it had no student life AT ALL. the student union bar was disgusting, the teachers are poor and it's just a really grotty place.

I would personally tell people to avoid going to Bradford. I really couldn't find anything good about the place, which Is why I left not long after I arrived. Was the biggest mistake of my life. Sure, I met some nice people, but most of them were adults and at the time I was 18. I don't want to be going to a pub with a 40 year old mum, not that she'd want to go out with a teenager either. The city is very dodgy, a lot of locals told me places to avoid. For an EU student, I wouldn't recommend it.
@dannnxo bro i joint this bloody college! i should have done my homework.. feel like a faggot.. can i shift to leeds or sheffield after my first year? i'll need to get high grades for that right?
@dwayne515 I am a wear that you can transfer after a year but If I was you, I wouldn't waste your money going there at all! Just take a gap year, work and learn money then re-apply.
Only bad side to that is the fact that it's getting harder to get into uni and more and more students are wanting to get in, so it might make it more difficult for you next year. Sorry for the late reply.
I'm a student at this uni right now. I can tell you that this university has changed so much from when this video was made. Masses of building work has been carried out and the new Student Central feels very 21st century. Lecturers are very friendly, and have been fantastic in helping me get good grades in my exams. Although I am applying to change universities at the end of the year, I am going to look back on my time in Bradford fondly.
Many of these buildings have now been demolished and together with local road closures, a safer and more attractive campus is being created. And videoing on a bleak and deserted Christmas Day does nothing to show the campus as it is experienced.
Bradford uni has no student atmosphere. Its really too international and consequently lacks student cohesiveness. Everybody sticks to their own groups. The girls simply don't sleep around just talk on their mobiles with their mums. Good place for praying 5 times aday. Tey now have a text service to get people to pray and all religious sermons. The girls also don't wear makeup at all. There is better student atmosphere in local mosques than the student bar. A very bad experience goto Leeds Uni.

I am just so embarrassed to have been an ex-student of Bradford Uni. Its just so run down and no sense of pride or community coohesion. Its terribly boring and unsafe of the campus.
bradford university lost alot of money,mainly becuase it takes care of foreigners and concentrates on religion,so paying money to mosques and churches and that sort of stuff and having a base in Dubai costs a fortune, and bringing theirlot here, the university is now super poor,u seen it
