  • wow... simply wow...

  • Wow that is amazing! Great job! And congrats on filmmaker of the year!!!

  • The song is by New Order. Nice video but you should give props to the original artist.

  • I share this Video all the time. You should be proud. Great piece of work!!!

  • It's about the Faulkland Island war. Check your history, real story, tragic shit.

  • The original son is from New Order (former - Joy Division) just in case, from the album Low-life (1985)...

  • All I can say is, WOW! You captured the essence of this song! This song is one of my favorites and I was almost afraid to watch it because I was afraid this video wouldn't do justice to the depth and rich meaning of the song. But I didn't need to worry! You need to make a career in the film industry!

  • awesome video man.thank you

  • beautiful. fucking beautiful.

  • this is exactly how i pictured it!

  • Awesome! They might as well make this as the official music video of the song. Cheers! :-)

  • Heyy, im brazilian, 18, i like to do amateurs movies and i got very very fascinated about this music video, i love cine, music and art, and you got me so inspired, really great job and good lucky you already have a promissing future!!!

  • You are SO TALENTED!!! My students and I are impressed and inspired to do better and work harder on our own projects now. We wonder -- what camera do you use? What editing system? And, which aspect of filmmaking do you enjoy the most? :)

  • Thank you so so much! Im so happy that the video inspired your students because really with a lot of preproduction and thought any video is possible

u should have seen my first couple videos...nothing to remember haha

on this music video i used the HPX Panasonic 500, and im final cut certified.

Also i eventually want to become a professional editor. that is my absolute favorite part of the film process :) P.S. if u or any of your students have any questions i would be happy to answer anything

  • The reason his wife "Layed upon the floor" was not because She had read the telegram and he was a ghost..

It was because she had only just read the telegram, she then glances up and sees her husband; the shock and suprise overwelmed her to the ground with confusing and disbeleif. I could be wrong but hey, look at how many adaptations and missinterpretations there are of Macbeth. :P

  • I'm saying that he was presumed dead, but he wasn't just like in Pearl Harbour

  • @Vapours2k8 No i'm sorry but it's because he's a ghost. It's like the 'sixth sense' where bruce willis doesn't know he's a ghost. That's why it shows her stressed and alone afterwards with the son spilling a tear onto the watch because it's just the wife and son now, he's dead.

  • Bravo! This song has bounced around in my head for years and you've pulled the images exactly as I've seen them. amazing job.

  • what was your budget for this film?

  • i spent $375 on it

  • how did you do all the war shots in the beginning ??!

  • They are all original shots.

i used all active military soldiers.

My military advisor was Captain David Keltner.

Also my makeup artist was Lauren DeSantis.

And the explosions were done by Todd Blood of The Editing Studio. They were black gun powder and Disneyland fireworks. BE VERY CAREFUL!

It was a lot of fun to do and the experience was GREAT.
