They've missed one game - 1995 IND ORL Game 4 Conf Finals, 4 lead changes in the last 13.3 sec with Shaq fouled out. Penny, Reggie, Smit etc best playoff game finish ever
@1PedroAmor I think the list includes all the great plays I can think of. But I TOTALLY disagree with the order. Jordan may be the greatest player, but some of his plays are just ranked way too high, namely #1. There are some Bird/Magic plays I can think of that top that to me.
That play you refer to was incredible basketball. I find it similar to Derek Fisher's 0.4 second shot. It definitely should be higher on the list, but it's not because it's Smits, not Jordan.
lol at these dumb kids. Portland is my favourite team with Jordan my favourite player respectively. Shut down second half? are you retarded they were up 30, the game was over. Shoulder shrug still gives me chills to this day.
@SmoothMM yes they did sit him down for most of the game because the bulls were up 96-60 in the third quarter and plus, the team was pumped and never showed a sign of weakness when Jordan sat.
I LOVE this video! Classic Michael Jordan. The best part is the :30 mark, the look on Robinson's face. He is a man defeated. I have never seen an NBA player break another NBA player's spirit like this. Hilarious!
@thane1997 are u dumb? Kobe never did that in an nba finals...go do ur research kid, the record is held by ray allen with 8, and kobe actually made 12 but that was in the regular season u retard and someone else has done it too
Omg Everyone needs to stop fuckin rippin on Jordan..Way I see it is I dont care who did what JORDAN OWNS the title of the greatest player to play the game..Not Ray Allen not Wilt Chamberlin and Not Kareem.Stop sayin all this shit about Jordan doesnt matter what he was on the team or how he acted hes still THE GREATEST PLAYER of all time
You tell me to relax; you ask me to explain which record is more important. Then i do explain it and you call me a fanboy even retard. I ask you to "explain what IT is" start with "jeeez, I hate it when people..." Are you even worth having a conversation anymore? Or next are you going to tell me to die or worse? And making points > than making threes. The greatest offensive records are Kareem's total points and Wilt's 100. Not 3s made. There was a time in bbal there wasn't even a 3s line.
@XuShoe 35 points is more important because basketball is a game based on points not three points made. Team with most points win every game but not every team that makes the most 3s wins the game. Logical no?
And when you say "it" you should refer to what it represents. Otherwise we just get confused.
# 22 moment? he put on maybe the greatest performance in any basketball game by scoring 35 in a HALF! and did it in the Finals. Haven't seen kobe do that..... EAT IT KOBE FANS, Bryant is overrated.
Says the lebron fan? listen I made this account many years before lebron became judas lebron. I hate lebron now and think kobe and lebron are all-time overrated players.
The best part about this game was that Clyde won the MVP and MJ took it personally. Drexler guarded him for much of the first half and made Clyde look absolutely foolish. Before the game a reporter made the comment that Drexler could atleast shoot 3's better than MJ. MJ said something like, "That's because he LOOKS for the 3." haha... MJ was on a different level of competition. He knew he was better than everyone, but he found motivation through the media. Classic!

@karlzulueta at least jordan come back from the record setting game by shooting 0-13 from the field, 0-8 from the 3 point area, and 1-2 from freethrows. Yes, that's right, he only made a freethrow the game he came back from the recording setting 8 point 3 pointers.

MJ would have never allowed that Orlando team to come that close to victory either (the series ended 4-1 but I think the Magic were simply to dumb to win the games.....)...
MJ would not have given up a 24 point lead in the finals !!
@triklops I said the same exact thing. Jordan would never have lost a 24 point lead in the finals & end up losing. or wait, better yet, Michael Jordan never lost in the finals to begin with (G.O.A.T.)
@hybridpure24 ya right so you're saying Chicago could have won the those last three championships without Jordan .They didn't do to much when Jordan was in retirement. Steve Kerr, Scottie Pippen ,Luke longly ,Toni Kukoc .Not a championship team
@ngv80 Ok, don't put words in my mouth. Dont attack me for something i didn't even say. All i said basketball is a team game, I never said anything about Jordan. Each player is important in their own way.

Dude come on guys. A little intellect here. THIS IS WHY THIS IS AMAZING. Jordan didn't have much of a three career and yet he busted loose in Game 1 FINALS! That's what the all time greats do. They bring up a part of their game that is not necessarily strong. They change a weakness to a strength because that's exactly what the other team wouldn't expect. He adapted, excelled, and showed a side of him that people didn't think existed on the biggest stage ever. IN YOUR FACE DREXLER!
Okay props to Mike no doubt...ALL HAIL THE KING!!! But come on...we all know that Kobe can outshoot Mike and just about anyone else when it comes down to it...Three point shooting was never Mike's stregnths, as great as he was, was it is one of Kobe's...Let's just be real here.
Jordan developed an unstoppable post game as he lost his hops, his main weapon being his turnaround J. Talk to me when Kobe shoots over 50% from the field and still averages over 30 points.
R u saying Kobe doesn't hav a post game....Kobe has some of the best footwork in the league....but hey Im not dissin Mike at all, Im jus saying that Kobe is a better shooter wen it comes down to it....now Kobe's percentage is about .45% while Mike's is about 49-50% average...But that jus comes from better shot selection, and maybe not as many attempts...Either way they're both two of the best players to come out the NBA with Mike obviously the most prolific, but Kobe is arguably on par skillwise
You're the dumbest brainwashed Kobe fan I've ever heard speak
You realize Kobe shoots less than 1% better than Jordan from three, career-wise, right? Meanwhile Jordan shoots 5% better than Kobe from the field overall.
Jordan can score better through defense, he was better while getting double teamed, a better driver, and a better postup player. He was also a better passer, better stealer, better blocker, better defender, and a better rebounder. Kobe has nothing on Jordan.
MJ jocksniffers can be so hypocritical. MJ was considered a selfish player with a big ego. Rod Thorn noted MJ wasn't much of a team guy. Great player, yes, but with an untameable ego. As he matured, MJ learned the importance of teambuilding, but his ego was harder to tame. From his dislike of Kukoc ("I don't speak no Yugoslavian" when asked about him) , to his gambling issues, his infidelity, and sub-par Washington comeback, MJ remembles a lot of the comments that his fanboys revile Kobe for.
1) He was a dick but he got his team to play at a very high level. Period.
2) He averaged 32.5 8 and 8 in 89, hardly selfish.
3) He was human. He gambled, part of why he was so embraced. Sub par? He was 40 years old and put up 50 points, another buzzer beater in Cleveland and averaged 20 and 6...hardy subpar.
G.O.A.T.
Kobe has now won ONE Finals MVP, Shaq is the reason they won those 3. Only NBA dynasty without a dominant big man, 90's Bulls.
When I lie? Did you watch game 1 of this year's finals?
Lakers up by 25. Kobe comes back into the game and starts jacking shots until he gets 40. He missed like six in a row, but demanded the ball every time down the court.
And Kobe stopped after 61 in that Dallas game because he had just taken a ton of shit for throwing up endless shots in his grim 81pt effort.
You might be less of a tool if you weren't ignoring something that happened less than two months ago.
Get your facts straight. The 81 point game came after the Dallas game. If you watch the 81 point game, you will see that almost of all of Kobe's points came in the context of a game the Lakers were losing. No one else on the Lakers was doing jack, so Kobe put the team on his back and singlehandedly won the game. He had to do a lot before they got Gasol. His scoring ave and shots taken have gone down since Gasol arrived. And in case you haven't noticed, the Lakers are the champs.
Yeah, I didn't know which Dallas game he was talking about, I got that wrong.
And if you can watch that 81pt game and seriously assert that it came "in the flo," I have to question what you think that means. Watch his teammates on the bench. They aren't even happy for him. They don't get up and cheer, run out and high five him, they just grimly watch him jack shot after shot against a terrible team.
Jordan scored big against teams that shut down his teammates, Kobe picks on weaklings.
Uh...the Raptors? They were DEAD LAST in defense that year. And they weren't "killing" the Lakers at all. Kobe just started jacking shots-46 of them. Yes, if Carmello Anthony took 46 shots and 20 free throws against the worst team in the league, he would get 81.
As for Dallas, they were a good team, but they were only 11th in defense--not exactly the 1990 Pistons.
In 1997 MJ had 2 50pt games, one against the best defensive team in the league, one against the second best.
jeez he may be the greatest of all time but just for that reason his 3 point shooting makes into the greatest moments? i mean dude was a shooting guard .. if shaq busted then maybe , but i hardly find this a greatest moment.
except two seasons in which one he shot 44 percent from three and another he shot 40 percent. I wouldn't say he was a shitty three point shooter like Lebron, but it wasn't known as a strength
its the fact that he hit 6 threes to make the record for threes in a finals game, AND he scored 35 in a half, the most scored in a half during a finals game. In other words he Broke TWO records. Thats why its a greatest moment.
35 1st half points is more impressive than 6 threes. but the video is clearly more focused on him hitting the 3's. i feel it should have showed that 35 point dominance.
wat makes this even better is that clyde, the guy thats usually a 3pt shooter, airballed the 3 JUST before jordan got the 6th 3, kinda like THATS HOW U SHOOT IT CLYDE.. splash
One of the greatest pieces of commentary ever following a great sequence in which Jordan slashes between two defenders and scores, steals the inbounds pass, gets the ball stolen from, and then chases Xavier McDaniel down the open court and cleanly swipes the ball out of bounds. Gotta love MJ and the intensity of basketball in the 90s.
There will never be another equal to Jordan. Kobe can equal him in some ways, but he will never be the teammate Jordan was, or the public figure he was. I feel lucky to have witnessed Jordan's play as I grew up.
I don't know if anyone's notice but go and look at the actuall game tape after Jordan hits his 5th 3 and is walking back to the bench Grant says something Jordan gives sort of a small shrug

G.O.A.T.
Kobe has now won ONE Finals MVP, Shaq is the reason they won those 3. Only NBA dynasty without a dominant big man, 90's Bulls.
thesportsdude09 2 years ago
Jordan scored 35pts in the first half of this game. He barely played in the second.
If the Blazers had kept this game close, MJ goes for some kind of crazy number, in the 60's and this is remembered for more than just the 3's.
But the Bulls were up by 25 and MJ rested. He wasn't like Kobe, asking back into a blowout so he could jack shots.
TBlake34 2 years ago
Because that's exactly what Kobe did in the blowout versus the Dallas right?
After scoring 61 in 3 quarters, he totally came back in the fourth, going for some record, right?
At least when you lie, make it seem less obvious you pathetic piece of shit.
2hvy4grvty 2 years ago

And in case you haven't noticed, the Lakers are the champs.
wrwellen 2 years ago 3
Yeah, I didn't know which Dallas game he was talking about, I got that wrong.
And if you can watch that 81pt game and seriously assert that it came "in the flo," I have to question what you think that means. Watch his teammates on the bench. They aren't even happy for him. They don't get up and cheer, run out and high five him, they just grimly watch him jack shot after shot against a terrible team.
Jordan scored big against teams that shut down his teammates, Kobe picks on weaklings.
TBlake34 2 years ago
Dallas 06 was a weak team?
In the 81 point game, the Lakers were getting killed until Kobe turned it on.
You're just another hater.
wrwellen 2 years ago
Uh...the Raptors? They were DEAD LAST in defense that year. And they weren't "killing" the Lakers at all. Kobe just started jacking shots-46 of them. Yes, if Carmello Anthony took 46 shots and 20 free throws against the worst team in the league, he would get 81.
As for Dallas, they were a good team, but they were only 11th in defense--not exactly the 1990 Pistons.
In 1997 MJ had 2 50pt games, one against the best defensive team in the league, one against the second best.

jeez he may be the greatest of all time but just for that reason his 3 point shooting makes into the greatest moments? i mean dude was a shooting guard .. if shaq busted then maybe , but i hardly find this a greatest moment.
flywithvicky 2 years ago
Michael was a shitty 3 point shooter most of his career, so this was very out of the norm for him.
the512messikan 2 years ago
except two seasons in which one he shot 44 percent from three and another he shot 40 percent. I wouldn't say he was a shitty three point shooter like Lebron, but it wasn't known as a strength
Nvill411 2 years ago
35 points 1st half points is no joke i'll give him that.
flywithvicky 2 years ago
its the fact that he hit 6 threes to make the record for threes in a finals game, AND he scored 35 in a half, the most scored in a half during a finals game. In other words he Broke TWO records. Thats why its a greatest moment.
bashmo 2 years ago 2
35 1st half points is more impressive than 6 threes. but the video is clearly more focused on him hitting the 3's. i feel it should have showed that 35 point dominance.
flywithvicky 2 years ago
That is not really the point. It's just that he hit so many 3's in one half.
nbafreak41 2 years ago
Dude 6 of 6, was a NBA Finals record until Horry hit 7 in the 2000's. This was absolutely magical. His reaction after was magical.
He had 35 points that HALF (record)
thesportsdude09 2 years ago 23
@thesportsdude09 what the hell are you talking about the record was tied the next year and it was broken by kenny smith the in 1994
brgod 11 months ago
@thesportsdude09 He was not 6 of 6, he was 6 of 10 (I have the game on DVD and have watched it many times). He did, however, make 6 in a ROW.

he scored 35

i bet he could have scored more than 81 if he just continued to dominate.

wat makes this even better is that clyde, the guy thats usually a 3pt shooter, airballed the 3 JUST before jordan got the 6th 3, kinda like THATS HOW U SHOOT IT CLYDE.. splash

One of the greatest pieces of commentary ever following a great sequence in which Jordan slashes between two defenders and scores, steals the inbounds pass, gets the ball stolen from, and then chases Xavier McDaniel down the open court and cleanly swipes the ball out of bounds. Gotta love MJ and the intensity of basketball in the 90s.

very underrated a few years earlier he had gotten only 5 pts in the 3 pt shootout at the all star 1990.
