I disagree with people saying that overweight people should stay the way they are. They may have be best personalities (and that should never change regardless of your weight) but being overweight is NOT okay. We've all heard the health benefits of being fit (key word, FIT, not skinny) but here are some emotional reasons:

1. People judge based on appearance. Its human nature. Deal with it. Even the nicest of people unconsciously judge.

2. People care about what others think. Those that say they don't are either lying or detached. Everybody is hurt in some way when they are judged unfairly (in this case, by your weight).

3. Being physically fit is good for the mind. You KNOW you look good and that brings confidence. Confidence is beautiful.

More importantly, its never bad to want to better yourself, be it weight, personality, habits, whatever! Coming from a previously overweight kid, I know what I'm talking about.
