If John openly admitted that "Day Tripper" was a drug song, why would he lie about this one? This song nor it's title has nothing directly to do with LSD. I does seem to be very "Alice in Wonderland-ish" which I've been told was written under the influence of acid. Perhaps this was written under the influence as well, but it's not about it per se.

For you're information, this was the front that The Beatles had invented as a sort of facetious "joke" that would also help them duck the heat and keep Haters from thinking that they were making songs about drugs. I mean honestly, that story doesn't even make the slightest bit of sense when you think about how involved they were with drugs and the fact that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds makes LSD in it's initials.
