its alive because it's fresher that way. when my parents cooked crabs they would cut it in half too, but not like this dude. my parents were quick and clean with their chopping then they quickly went into the pan so I doubt they suffered like these crabs. Still this is how food is prepared, most of the food people eat is killed, just because you feel bad about the way it was killed doesn't stop most of you from biting into it's "carcass" unless you're vegan or whatever

uhhh I am wondering , do you ever make crabs or lobster by boilding them alive? I love doing that. You get rubber bands around the claws and them drop them in the boiling water. then you'll hear it shriek or yell and then after it is done ( it should be nice and red or I am not sure the color of crab ) you grab the shell with your hands and rip into it! you dont eat organs ( if they have any, I always sell the body cheap to my friends ) and you just eat!
