So in short: I don't think its bad for artist to want money. But they should try to conform to new technology and ways of distribution. But what the music industry did, was try to force everyone back to handling music distribution as in the 60s and 70s. And that can never work

Metallica should get sued for stealing video ideas and concept from Philippine American artist, Goff Macaraeg's video Garden Of Eden, to make Until It Sleeps, and then planting Goff's name within their video. It's very true, they've been cranking out mountains of uninspired shit for years from bands they kept promoting long after they burned out (like metallica) and then shoving it down our throats through the corrupt radio corporations. Now that we can look for lesser known bands online that still know what it means to be an artist (unlike metallica, etc.) the old RIAA business model is swimming up a toilet swirl, and it's a beautiful thing.
