the hard rock solo is mostly pentatonic licks around the 4th fret and 11th fret position in standard tuning. But he may actually be in drop D.. its hard to tell. i wish i could get that tone in all honesty and that timing is very unique in that little display solo. his starts and stops make the whole thing much less anticipated and unpredictable.

What technique is he using at 42 to 54? Is it just a series of hammers and pulls? Or is he sweeping or tapping?

@gamergirl8745 It's hammers and pulls. On a regularly tuned guitar, put your 1st finger on the G string at the 4th fret and down-pick that note. Then hammer on with your 2nd finger one fret higher (G string, 5th fret) and pull off to the first note again (G string, 4th fret). Then up-stroke the D string, 6th fret. That's it. He's playing that four note figure fast with a heavy accent on the first note. His guitar's also tuned to E-flat so he's playing the lick up one fret from what I wrote.

It wasn't a 'song' persay, its smooth blues, its all improv, you should be able to pick it up by ear if you listen to it for long enough. "Sunny boy" plays the typical blues back-riff, its pretty generic, Ryuuske is improving, in whats probably drop C#. You should be able to figure it out by ear.

Its a standard 12 bar blues shuffle in A and Ryuuske's playing in standard tuning in A minor pentatonic.

I think you're wrong. Somebody who watches anime and then tries to copy it isn't neccesarily cool. Nobody's gonna say "Hey, you're just like the guy in that anime, that's cool!". Quite the opposite actually.

It's pretty much the same thing as being inspired to play guitar by a friend. Anything can inspire you as long as it inspires you enough to make you go the distance.

It's just kind of silly to say that one thing can't inspire you, but another thing can...

I said it isnot cool just people think it would be cause they see " cool " musician but the reallity isnt the rockstar clichee type thing.

The motivation will go away quick if you arent enough into music itself that is what i want to say it is just like in guitar hero.

It is just like somebody watches an action movie and says i wanna learn kung fu but then they realise theys like to see it but not to do it. Of course there are some exceptions.

im pretty sure quite a number of us have played guitar b4 but this anime has inspired us to get better :)

As for new players, i think its cool. Some people play for fun rather than to get really good. Guitar is pretty easy to pick up and constant motivation isnt really that important. on and off playing will still enable you to play songs(easy ones at least)

I accept your opinion but i stick to mine, because i have made the experience that guys who want to be cool and play in a band and than realise they arent good enough, quit pretty fast.
