Line 6 Demo. POD HD500, DT50 and JTV Variax

Hi Paul - I just bought the JTV-69 (Korean version) (waiting for it as we speak) and I have the POD HD500 too.. I do not have the DT50 so I currently use the studio mixer and/or my Marshall TSL 602 combo. But is there any way that I can get the tones that you're using on this particular for the HD500? - Best regards from Arnt Petter in Norway

GREAT sounds but I am confused. What if I wanted to use the DT-50s amp tones with an HD-300's effects? Isn't that the whole idea of Line 6 gear...instant patches? Looks like you can either use DT-50 amp tones alone OR use the POD's patches. If that is the case...I would just get the POD HD and a tube power amp, turn off cab sims and be done.

if you used the simulation of the amplifier and a column on this record or just the same amp without the column?

@damianix222 Hi. Not sure I understand the question. I'm using HD500 for the preamp models and effects. that then runs vis the Line 6 link connection to the DT50. The signal then runs through the DT50 topology settings and then the power amp. In this case it as was all set to topology 1 and Class A/B.

Paul, Everytime I watch this I am totally blown away.Your playing,the tones your getting out of the HD, totally unbelievable.Thank God for modern technology and awesome talent.Guys like me who grew up when you would need $20,000 or more to get all these tones.God must like rock.It's a bloody miracle!!!

What wireless system are you using there? how did you changed the Tyler variax preset without the digital cable? Were you using the dt50 or the alchemist in this demo?

@covelinhas The wireless system is the Line 6 Relay G30. The Pod is connected to the DT50 (via L6 link) for this track. I can't switch Variax sounds with the wireless system. The guitar sounds are all the Tyler magnetic pickups. Currently woking on something that switches everything from the POD .Thanks for listening.

@paulhindmarshmusic Is it the Dt50 112 or the 212 in this video? Do you you think 212 is worth the money diference? and what about weight? Could the Dt50 head sound good on the alchemist cabinet or is it even compatible?

@covelinhas Hi. I think this is the 112 although I can't really remember. If your playing loud gigs and need to throw the sound the it would make sense to get the 212 I don't think its that much more expensive. Although the 112 can be really powerful too. The head should sound great on the Alchemist cab. It certainly looks compatible.
